Because hype...this does not create hype. If Kane cared about the locals and people who support them they would at least make it easy to try the beer if you don't get a bottle. We can only wait and see how often you will see any ANTEAD or variants on at the brewery.

 

It is significantly easier to get mules for a lottery than any other system. All you have to do is send in an email and then go pick up the bottles whenever during a 5 hour window. You are telling me you couldn't find more people willing to do that for you than camp out for 12 hours for you? I was simply saying that this is not a perfect system either. Not complaining... And I don't have a really good solution either. It really depends on Kane's goals for the release. I was just commenting on the people who said this is the way it should have been done to begin with because I dont agree with that.

 

Does Kane really need the hype and/or headache anymore with this release? They are arguably the number one or two brewery in NJ. I guess it depends on their business plan and only they can answer that...

 

I am sure it was stressful, but I bet it was worth the 72k (+ the lottery) or so they will make from selling the beer.

 

I bet this will be a totally silent release next year. Wont even mention it on Facebook. They'll just have it at the brewery one day lol

 

So, the ticket portal would open and I would panic and click "Add to Cart" before changing the number of tickets from 0 to 1, for a second time? I'm in.

they should just have a window like for this raffle, no proxy, have a 1-3 bottle reg limit adjustable based on # entries, & do draft only on varients. at least they are going in the right direction. the amount of times I saw ppl talking about camping for unknown amounts made me smh.

the only fair system is the one that let's me get the beer I want.
The ridiculous unfair system is any one that results in me not getting said beer.

 

I bet the remaining singles get put out for sale quietly a few at a time.

 

They should do tickets or a lottery so all get a fair chance and give a larger pick up window like a week but has to be no proxies. There is ways to cheat the system and get mules no matter what you do. But the easiest way to mule is through waiting in a line. At least it would get spread out and give everyone a chance. And say pick up Sunday to Sunday. Gives you a week to get your bottles.

 

I got shut out of Springsteen tickets as well. Tough week for a beer drinking Jersey guy.

Thank you to Kane for being active in modifying this release multiple times to best suit as many customers as possible. Clearly, there is no course of measure to deter consistent complaining and entitlement, but thank you nonetheless.

 

the worst! missed that this morning as well. tried both NYC and the pru show only to be shut out entirely!
was more mad about that than the antead miss. here's to hoping ticket prices come down, as unlikely as that may be...

 

Does Huna Day tickets sell out, does dark lord day tickets sell out, does BCBS release events sell out, does Eclipse events sell out? Can you go to The Breury and pick up a chocolate rain anytime you want? Buy a BT without a membership?

Kane has entered the waters of nationally known and this is their big release. The only headache besides ignoring their Facebook page, would be NOT selling these beers. Im sorry but for every single Day 1 customer, that will never buy from them again, there are 100, maybe a 1k waiting to take your place.

I would love to see more of their beers on tap, for growler fills. But they knowmwhats best for their business model. Last year I wish they had lower limits, and at the same time I wish I bought a full allotment, instead of only taking part of what I could buy. Im happy this year more people will get to try their beer, more variants are spread out, instead of 1/2 case per person. No system will get rid of mules, but let it be known, Kane is sitting on a national level of attention.

 

I am angry because Kane was entirely too smart about this whole thing.

 

What will people be pissed at Kane about tomorrow?

 

All I want for Xmas is ANTEAD.
