You ignored the other bad trader thread...even if you made it right, you never explained what happened.

If you don't respond here, your ability to trade will be suspended even if you make good.

If you don't make it right, you're done.

 

In most cases a link to the BT thread should be posted to the BT's profile page & remain there to apprise future traders of past issues. JMO.

Pejorative thread titles could be edited to reflect there was satisfactory resolution since the purpose is to disseminate info rather than to condemn.

Would I trade with someone named in a bt thread? Quite possibly, depending on how the person responded & how the dispute was resolved, ie a sincere apology was made followed by FAST, appropriate resolution. I would require that s/he ship first.

Keeping a link on the slackers profile page might remind/encourage them to get it done & done quickly. Out & out thieves might prefer to *trade* elsewhere. That's not ideal but it beats homing em here.

There have been people with two, even three bad trader threads started on them, who made it right & continue to trade. That's valuable info & worth sharing via links on the profile page. Again, JMO.

 

Sounds more like a lazy-ass than a bad trader, at least I hope so for OP's sake. Glad to hear he needs to account for himself on this thread. We have been short on excus... err, reasons life got in the way lately.

 

He needs to be on everyone's 'must send first' list although he's already landed on my dnt list.

 

Per the other traders feedback he should have already been on a send first basis.

Can't believe no one else has said it but @YvesB ill happily send first with awesome beer for some Cantillon bottles. Hope this works out bud.

 

@YvesB I hope you get your beer. Unfortunately, that will most likely rest on whether gonzohomebrewer is just a lazy slacker or an out & out thief.

He's been a member for over three yrs, has rated almost 1000 beers & has a solid posting history. I think it would hurt a bit to give that up. However, he's only got 7 trades under his belt, one of which garnered him neutral fb & a recommendation that people require that he ship first. Undoubtedly, he wouldn't mind leaving that behind.

I'm curious...Did you read his fb prior to setting up the trade? If so, why didn't you require him to ship first?

 

@YvesB my bad. I didn't look at your trade history & you're right. A large international trade might be difficult with no fb & a very recent history.

Is he on FB or untappd? Is there anyone with a phone # so you can call him?

It's been much too long with no contact. Hell, you should have had your beer weeks ago.

Consider contacting the other guy who posted a bt thread. He might have insights or suggestions on what is likely to be most effective.

 

@YvesB let us know what stouts you are out when you and/or the community feel sufficient time has passed. You should not get screwed over on your first trade.

 

I can (and will) definitely help out with some of this if things aren't adequately resolved.

I'm sure others would help fill in. I can even help arrange a single shipment.

This bums me out. You have a generous trader that tosses out a porch bomb of Loons to someone and then they get totally disregarded for the efforts and considerations they've extended.

Let me know if I can be of any further help with @GonzoHomebrewer. Am near Westborough, MA occasionally and can drop into Julio Liquors to see how this guy's doing with his side of the trade Really though, hope that this person steps up and makes this right...pretty adolescent behavior from someone who I assume to be a grown man.

I'll put in some legwork locally to see if I can track some info down. I know some of the folks who've traded with him.

 

I've got 2013 BCBS and 2013 BCBBW if needed. The ones at the top of the list are going to be the ones that are really tough though...

 

Yeah I figure quite a few can offer up some of these and others...tough as you stated. But the BA community never ceases to amaze.
