What's an ingredient that you normally like, which turns out to be unpleasant in beer? I haven't had much luck with cranberry.

For me, cherries. I really haven't founf
a Kriek that I enjoy. But on the flipside was the Bruery's Oude Tart w/cherries. That one was really good.

For me it's peaches..I love peaches but most peach beer I've had has a powdery stale peach skin taste I can't get to grips with odd because like I said I love peaches!

Ah tho the one exception was sorry not sorry ipa^^

Another would be herbs and spices not one specifically but saisons with them turn me off immediately..

I love coconut when it is used in pastries, cookies, etc. but not in beer.

I love cashews, but I wouldn't put any on my pizza.

Try to get your hands on some Belgian red from New Glarus. It's the best there is in my opinion if you like cherries.

Dude- I know a place that makes the best trail mix pizza; that'll change your mind. You need to go to craft pizzerias- they've totally superceded the old ones these days .

Cherries for me. For some reason it almost always taste like cough syrup to me. I know brewers who use good cherries and it comes out that way to me. I know it is just me too and it pisses me off as I love cherries. True sour cherries are not that way though.

And he was probably trying to come up with the weirdest example he could think of. It's getting harder and harder to be a smart ass these days.

Oysters for me. Love, love, love oysters with beer or bourbon but not in my beer.

I think I've only come across disappointing ingredients in one beer I've ever had, they were: Kaffir Lime, and Cumin.

Peanut butter. Sounds great, but peanut butter beers always taste like shit.

    Second vote for peanut butter.

It may be my favorite flavor of all time, but I haven't found one to work as well in beer as peanut butter works with pretty much everything else.

I have no trouble being an ass no matter what the day.
Weirdest example? Please give me more credit than that. I was going for somewhat reasonable. I could have said I don't put Reubens in my orange juice or some other nonsense. @TongoRad was just kidding with me.

Chai. Enjoy Chai tea but in beer it was...akward especially in something already good like Stone Russian Imperial Stout.

We seem to be living in a time of post-satire; go big don't bother.

I figured as much. That notion has never appealed to me- somehow I am left with the image of having my jaws wired shut and being forced to drink peanut butter smoothies. It's kind of a nauseating thought.
