Guess I'll get it crackin' again this morning. Enjoying some PAW Patrol and one of the finest coffee beers of all time. Taking the kids to CT to see their great-grandmother today. Really lucky they are able to have a relationship with her. Have a great day. Cheers

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Always amazing. Big bright hops with flavors of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine; with some light honey/caramel/bready maltiness; and a balanced sticky/resinous hop bitter finish. Nice amount of dryness.

Just finishing off this 4 pack. This is a great IPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine; with some honey/toasted bready maltiness and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness; with a very well balanced finish with moderate stickiness and slight creaminess in the mouthfeel.Moderate dryness, very smooth drinking for 9%. As usual, I love mosaic hops. Look forward to trying out the Double IPA #2 next month. It will be Waimea, Wai-iti, and Galaxy hops.

1 year old aged bottling, this is tasting excellent! Flavors of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, and fudge; with light-medium cinnamon/earthy chile pepper flavor and light smoke/char maltiness. Nice bittersweet creamy/silky full bodied finish. Mild hints of pepper spice and heat. As expected with the age the pepper/cinnamon spices are pretty restrained vs other ones on the market, but still definitely noticeable. I reviewed this 2 years ago with a 1 year old bottle and basically had the same experience. Still a great beer all around. I'd definitely put this as one of the more approachable examples of the Mexican stouts, as the chili spice and heat is very minimal, but you still get a fair amount of the pepper flavor overall.

1 year old Vintage of this as well. This is tasting fantastic! Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, wood smoke, coffee, toasted dark bread, and light charred malts; with a bit of earthy hops and dark fruit notes. Medium roast/char bittersweet finish. Creamy, silky, and sticky roast balanced mouthfeel. Tons of awesome malt complexity and overall great balance with the smoke and dark/roasty flavors. The 2015's just showed up here in the last month or so, will gladly get some more.

    Cheers!

Been listening to this album non stop since I got it yesterday evening. My official album of the year for sure.

First go around with with beer, this Brewer, and this beer style (foreign/export stout).

Nice roastiness and an unexpected dryness I guess due to inexperience of this beer style.

Instead of imperial stouts this morning, I'm going sour - " Sang Rouge" (2013) from Cascade Brewing, Portland OR:

I like sours and this one is excellent. Tart funky cherries with some dryness from the oak. I'll drink on this awhile and finish my notes, then move over to NBS. Have a great day y'all.

I was looking forward to starting the day off with some chocolate. Sadly, this one hasn't aged well. It's sort of like mediocre chocolate milk with a lot of water in it. Hopefully, things will improve with my NBS selection.
