I just got home from working overnight. Still time for some breakfast. I like collecting labels so I had to grab this one when recently in Michigan.

Dark and stormy morning, so I'm treating myself to a stout from one of my "big beer" boxes - Dogfish Head World Wide Stout (2010) purchased April 2011:

Cocoa, brandy and stone fruit nose; same for initial flavors. Intense fruit of plum and prune - almost port like in alcohol presentation. Velvety tongue coating with rich full mouthfeel. Overall, undeniably one of the best things I've drank in recent memory. More barleywine than stout, warming but not astringent, bittersweet dark cherries and roast malt linger. Let it rain, I'll sip away...cheers!

Morning BA's, So my goal as of recently is to start a review blog and video reviews on the side while continuing to help grow this community and share with it my Joyus moments in beer:slight_smile:. In setting this up I have secured the youtube channel name Beyond The Suds! Beer Reviews and hopefully will begin filming in the next few months. I have also gotten the wordpress blog page of the same name,so hopefully this goes well.

Now to the Beer, This morning I am trying the most special of my DDC brew's as of late Heretique, This is a Belgian Blonde, brewed with brett yeast and aged in pinot noir barrels. Apon popping the cap brett was instantly on my nose, almost like a "brett bubble formed. I'm getting a strong sour brett funkyness here aided by the grapes from the wine which is also instantly noticeable. I'm also getting a slight vinegar smell, some green apple, pear and some light spices. Cheers!

Nothing beats the first cup of Joe in the morning. Just as an aside, the Force Awakens premiered last night and the word of mouth is that JJ blew it out of the water. Can't wait!

not organized enough to report in live-time, so last night: Upslope Nelson IPA (interesting, just Nelson Sauvin hops I presume), stayed on the light/clear side of an ipa, refreshing (about 6.5%), then finally tried the Lord Hobo Boom Sauce (7.4%) which I was quite impressed with...

The 2014 was delicious, The oak and vanilla are way more prominent than the 2015, I was lucky enough to try both back to back, Awesome brew!
