So LAST Tuesday I got an unexpected "your delivery is scheduled for tomorrow" fedex notification about a box coming from Virginia -- Scheduled delivery: Wed, 12/9/2015 by end of day. Then it disappeared for a while, and finally showed up yesterday after taking a detour through Indiana (?) -- at least one fellow local theorized that @Dave_Treat shipped this via pony express and so it only travelled north about 40 miles a day.

Anyway -- this is what arrived yesterday --

Hardywood Gingerbread Stout -- I had highlighted Hardywood as a brewery I wanted to hit at EBF this year, because last year I tried this beer and it was one of my absolute favorites. If this was the only beer in the box I would have been happy. This one will be shared with either my family or my neighbor (who is partial to Milk Stouts) -- I may even end up saving it for New Year's Eve. With a cool BA quote on the label!

Apocalype Aleworks Winter Snack Holiday Stout -- a new tick from a brewery I never heard of, and I usually enjoy Oatmeal stouts -- and this definitely qualifies as a Local beer.

Brothers Resolute BBA Russian Imperial Stout -- I also typically like RIS's, and I'm pretty sure this is the reason Dave sent me the box in the first place. I'm excited to try this one, but it might not be for a while.

Duclaw Obol "O?? Wine Style Ale" - I'm not sure if this is a Barleywine or a Strong Ale, and not sure if the word in the description is old, oat, or oak -- but either way another new tick and something that sounds pretty unique

Lickinghole Creek Virginia Black Bear -- another Russian Imperial Stout (I think I mentioned I like those) -- from a brewery that I've never tired before but that I've seen lots of you guys drinking, so I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks a ton @Dave_Treat -- I will reciprocate once I find a few things that you haven't had in the past and do some stalking/research. Awesome box (that I got downstairs and unpacked without anybody knowing!)

I'm not going to go as far as to say that Georgia is out of beer, but they may be out of Founder's Breakfast Stout as evidence of the last uptappd check-in

It's been 24 days...maybe we can help remedy this and get the LIF back on track.

What are the desired beers/Breweries from the Indiana distribution? I feel like FFF and 18th only brews so much and half the time the beers people want come out a few times a year then are gone before its even sold

From my perspective, I think those two are pretty amazing (when you had the Horizontalhood, I expressed interest just because I wanted/expected FFF; I am SO glad you sent 18th Street instead). My gut response is to trust your judgement -- I still have liked random local stuff this group has sent me as much as stuff I've had as a want. I would also suggest looking here... http://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/in/ -- it's about 50% FFF stuff, another quarter is either 18th Street or Upland, who seems to have lots of Wild Ales and Lambics -- so maybe that's the first "other brewery" to consider.

Quit stalking me! I have plenty of beer, plenty of FBS, and i'll keep drinking them once I drink down some of the stuff I've gotten the past few weeks. I think my total is at 33 or so right now.

Not sure about the Horizontalhood though.
