    Stone will be releasing a new Red IPA in 2016. Below is the label for Pataskala Red X IPA, which is described as a "massively dry-hopped deep crimson IPA." This beer will feature a new German malt called Red X (hence the name), which will give the beer a dark red appearance. The dry hopping bill will include Mosaic, Cascade and Amarillo. This beer will be packaged in 12oz bottles and will come in at 7%abv. No word on release date yet.

    With the addition of Mosaic, I'm hoping this is similar to Blazing World from Modern Times. I love that damn beer.

    I'll give this one a try as well, but I'm definitely more interested in Americano Stout.

    This was originally a Columbus area only release in response to this story:

    http://www.newarkadvocate.com/story/news/local/pataskala/2015/09/02/stone-brewing-release-special-edition-pataskala-ipa/71609136/

    I've had the beer a few times and it is a fantastic Red IPA. I bought it originally to support the $1 donation per pint to the band and expected a solid but forgettable IPA. I was dead wrong and disappointed that it was a one off, so I'm thrilled to see it going national.

    This would also be a good beer to brew at Stone-Berlin since it features a new German malt called Red X.

    Maybe they could market it as a German style IPA there?

    @StoneGreg

    Cheers!

    Glad to see this hitting regular distribution. I live about 20 minutes from Pataskala and was fortunate to try this a few times when it was tapped earlier this year. Doesn't stand out a lot from their already IPA heavy lineup, but its another great beer from them.

    I actually see myself doming this regularly. I dig some crazy Citrus and Resinous Red IPAs.

    Im excited about this, but really another IPA. Good lord, 90 percent of what Stone puts out are IPAs. Wheres the diversity?
