Yet another new Stone offering to look forward in 2016. Below is the label for Americano Stout, which is describes as "A decidedly American Imperial Stout with Espresso." This stout will feature espresso beans that were roasted by San Diego's Ryan Bros. Coffee (which were the same beans used in the 2013 Stone Espresso IRS). This beer will be packaged in 6pks of 12oz bottles and will clock in at 8.5%abv. No word on release date yet.

This sounds pretty solid. The Espresso IRS was one of my favorite beers. Period. So, yeah, definitely interested.

Judging by the name and the label, it's sounds hop foward.

I would agree. Plus, the use of "decidedly American Imperial Stout" would confirm that.

Ryan Brothers Coffee roasts some of the best coffee I have ever had, so this ought to be good. They also provide the coffee for Coffee Milk Stout and Speedway Stout.

This ABV looks perfect too, I love when a RIS can be sub-9% like Sam Smiths.

I especially like the 6 pack format. I can drink a couple fresh and then age a few.

It's always nice to see you in every thread telling us that a beer shouldn't be hop forward.

I'm not a fan of hop forward stouts. I'll probably pass on this unless I hear otherwise.

Definitely- and those West Coast Stouts featuring classic 'C' hops always reminded me of an espresso with lemon peel, so this one looks like it will take a flavor profile that works and punch it up a bit. Keeping the gravity on the low end for an Imperial Stout is a good sign as well- drier tends to work better with these beers.
