    Glad I'm not your editor:wink:

However you are right, if there is no date and you buy it it is kinda like throwing dice.

Citra Sunshine Slacker has the canning date plainly marked on the can and the carton. Make your own decision whether you want to purchase.

That one beer, no matter how old, is still probably better than any beer I drank in college. Exception may be Yuengling Lager since it was the local beer.

$12 would have bought me 2 cases, if not more! Natty Light, Golden Anny Ice, Beast, etc. I know you have a love of craft beer, but college is all about quantity and women, right?

I am of the mind that because it has a date that if unopened, you should be able to take it back. I recently took a case of expired beer back to wegmans because the date was on the cans inside the case and not on the case itself.

Hey at least it only happened once to you. Ive been burned many times throughout the years. For example I thought I remembered how to read achor's bottling code in the store, so got a sixpack only to find it 7months old(didnt have my phone one me to look it up).

Wow. Way to call out a brewery and store for your own stupidity. Take some responsibility for your own laziness instead of blaming others.

I was really excited to find some Oak-Aged Yeti on the shelf, it had just been released for 2015. So I bought a couple bombers.

Turns out it was 2014 bottles and they had stashed them in the back and brought them out to fool customers. I was pretty upset. At those storage temperatures, I'm not comfortable with a 1 year old bottle. I am not making that mistake again.

I ordered a shipment of beer over the internet, received it last week. Noticed that my bottle of Big Boss Bad Penny Brown Ale had a bit of wet cardboard taste. Had a best by date of 9-1-15. Crap.

My problem is that a) I'm not very patient, and b) I tend to get like a kid in a candy shop when I get into a beer store and forget to check the dates until after I have opened the bottle at home.

And he had to walk two miles up hill both ways through 3 ft of snow to get it.

following not being said about dgmirelli.

Not sure why all the animosity being poured on the OP. Look at any thread about improving the beer culture and most of the posts at the beginning will be about bottling dates. As he has said he probably should have skipped the PS, but other than that he is expressing the majority view here.

Our suggested retail price for most of our IPAs are $9.99 for 4 x 16oz cans. If you find that overpriced we are truly sorry.

Hmm, they are priced way over that around here I'm pretty sure.

Do you think you ever will date your hoppy beers? I personally don't buy hoppy beers that aren't dated, yours included, and all my friends have come around to the same.

This is pretty cool. Good stuff @BierKonig . A thousand thanks to people like you that seek out a chance to make right, especially in a world that has seen a dramatic increase of corporate crapjokers.
