12 Days of XMAS BIF

Looking like box #2 didn't make the delivery truck today, maybe fedex will deliver tomorrow, sorry @Kyle2k10

 

2 boxes just hit my work's loading dock!
But it looks like we have some wounded soldiers on our hands... I was greeted by a sweet, cinnamon-y aroma of stout when I opened the smaller of the two boxes...
it doesn't look like total carnage, though. Full damage report to come...

It's a Christmas miracle

FedEx comes through with a late status update, on the truck for delivery

 

They really scramble at Xmas time & do weird stuff....my 2 boxes which I shipped as a 2 box shipment shows that the 2 boxes took different routes to get to LA. One box shows on truck for delivery & the other doesn't BUT it does say today is the expected delivery date for both boxes

 

Focus that flash on the glass next dark voodoo beer you pour in it haha! I do that with BBVD all the time

 

Still waiting. UPS pulled up today and I got excited, but it was nothing important.....maybe my sender sent FedEx who knows since I am not good at reading hints, if they even posted hints

 

Duly noted. BBVD is at the front of the fridge. I don't expect it to last through the weekend.

No need to fret.
We lost a graham cracker stout and a Creature Comforts glass... all in all, a small price to pay for the absolutely SILLY amount of extras I was pulling out of that box.

Day 10 & 11 got a little sticky, but I think I'll have my girlfriend re-wrap them so the surprise isn't ruined.

I really hated sending my boxes as late as I did, but I held off in hopes of including a certain brewery only release which my target will benefit from. But I was scared when the UPS store said on Monday it would land the following monday, glad its all out for delivery today, just hope its all in one piece.

As far as participation, goes, we have a lot of talking about this each round. Personally, I feel those that join and don't do what they are asked shouldn't be allowed back in. We all knew what we were getting into.

This is what I was thinking too. The idea of a BIF sounds awesome, but then some people decide they only care about the beer, and not the experience. A big part of this for most of us is seeing someone else open / consume the beers we took time to select (trade for, cellar dive, purchase...) rather than just know they received them.

 

Well a box landed here from fedex from a kyle in ca....could it be my 12 Christmas box??? I'll open it after I get back from the gym in an hour or so.

 

Guys named Kyle can't be trusted, from what I hear.

Can't I just look at all my little Precious's, rub my hands together, have conversations with myself, and drool over them?
