Not a lot of high quality Red IPAs available out there these days. I for one, am excited and have high hopes for this one.

It's always refreshing to see those who 'make it' give back to their hometown. Will proceeds of these bottles be going to Pataskala as well @StoneGreg (similar to the initial release)? If so, all the more reason to buy some of this.

We promised to brew a special fundraising beer to further support school programs if the town passed a school programs levy. They did last spring, so we did this past September. Commitment fulfilled. The school got their programs funded by the community, and we donated a pretty fair chunk o' change on top of it. And out of it came a damn tasty beer that we felt should live on, even though the donation part is completed!

Sounds good @StoneGreg , I appreciate the response. I'll be looking for this one on the shelves in West Michigan. From a former 'band geek' (6th grade through high school) - thanks for supporting these types of programs.

Clown Shoes' Evil Crawfish is a hoppy red with mosaic and it's fantastic, so I've no doubt this will be as well.

Stone and their IPAs are like cutting one head off an hydra. You drink one and they release 2 more.

Really enjoyed this beer. The malt/caramel back on it really plays well with the hops.

I sense a beer or a shirt coming into the works from this post. Brilliant!

Maybe like a Hop Vine that sprouts rapidly from any stem that you cut.

maybe my palate is broken but this isn't hoppy enough to be called an ipa

I thought it was hoppy enough, but too sweet for my tastes.

Just tried it. It's better than I expected. Great flavor profile. Does remind me a little of blazing world.

I've been having some "IPA overload" recently so this was a nice way to break it up (but still have an IPA lolololol). I'm a big old fan of this one.

Been drinking too many double and triple IPAs I guess

It's got more malt character so that balances the hops, which makes the perceived bitterness lower. Quick google search said it's 75 IBUs though, so that's well into IPA territory.

People are saying that its reallly bitter but at the same time sweet... So, it's balanced? If it is, I will definitely try this one! Way too many IPA's are really unbalanced, in my opinion.
