No mention of Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier? Perfectly composed, THE benchmark for the style. Refreshing, satisfying...what else can I say?

You should PM the 1873 people who rated it a perfect 5/5 to let them know!

That Mektoberfest, that's easily one of my favorite Oktoberfest beers. Couldn't really think of anything they could do better with it.

Wouldn't the "perfectness" of Orval depend on how/how long it was stored, due to the Brett? Or do you mean it is perfect due to or in spite of all the possible outcomes?

Maine Beer Company's MO. This beer is perfectly balanced of both Malts and a Great Tropical Hop profile. Not bitter, very clean and just enjoyable.

I really don't mean to be a party-pooper; I am asking an earnest question here, but is there a difference for most people between their "favorite" beer and their most "perfectly constructed" beer? I mean, if you're asking us to list a beer that didn't have any flaws and has no room for improvement, wouldn't that be your favorite beer (which is what it seems most people are listing)? And if so, isn't this thread totally redundant to every other of the tons of "favorite beer" threads that have ever been started?

Or am I and many other people here getting the wrong impression, and you really are distinguishing between favorite and objectively best beer? In which case, I'm not particularly in love with Fat Tire, Bass, Old Rasputin, DFH 60 Min, Two Roads Ol' Factory Pils, Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce, Stone's Chai-Spiced IRS, and so on, but I would call them all good/very good beers that are perfectly made and have no need for improvement, despite them not being my favorite beers ever.

Admittedly a bit of a Founders homer, but:
    KBS
    Backwoods Bastard
    Rodenbach Grand Cru

Edit: For @jmasher85 I'm trying to stick with the OP's question. I happen to love all three of those. Harder for me to appreciate great beers I really don't like. As an example: Dortmunder Gold.

I've never had a beer that is impossible to improve, but my highest score goes to FBS.

I'd have to agree - went for lunch the other day at a local taproom, scanned their list and had to have the FBS when I spotted it. Disappointing it is seasonal, though I suppose it makes it more appreciated.

    My favor
My favorite beer by a mile is Heady Topper, but the perfectly constructed beer I was talking about was simply a beer I enjoy that is absolutely perfectly constructed. Nothing can or should be done to change it. It's as good as it gets regardless of style. So no I didn't intend this to be my favorite beer thread, Capt Jack probably isn't in my top 10, but it's my favorite Pils, as I was drinking one a few days ago I just marvled that is was very simply perfect. So no a perfectly constructed beer doesn't necessarily have to be your favorite beer, it's just perfect unto itself.
