Who knows what the actual truth was, but after I left Binny's Bolingbrook Thursday afternoon with my Rare, Regal, Coffee and 2 Regs I called Willowbrook, Downers and Naperville. Willowbrook said they and Oakbrook wouldn't be getting any second-wave BCS because their distributor didn't get any of it. Downers and Naperville simply said they didn't know anything about it. Now I regret not trying Plainfield; I certainly thought about it.

Local mom and pop got Regular ($11.99) and Barleywine ($13.99). No limits. Got the last 4 BW and 4 more Reg, mostly to give away to friends who got shut out. Still about 4 cases worth of regular on the floor.

 

4 cases of reg left? Awesome! So I googled "local mom and pop"...

Haha Just thought it was amusing you mentioned there were cases left but didn't mention the store. I was fortunate enough to get a decent amount of regular from the initial release where I have absolutely no motivation to get any more. I'm also inherently lazy so this may or may not be a factor as well. I even have no desire to call stores on this go around to see if they have any variants. Blasphemy I know, take away my FIB card. Hopefully folks who got shut out on the first go around were able to get some this time. Thanks for the offer though, appreciated. Cheers!

 

LP Binny's had about 7-8 cases of regular today around 4:30P.M. Might be a few still left tomorrow for anyone that's interested.

 

Found some coffee and barleywine at a shop off Lincoln south of Diversey. Only hang up was to buy one of the variants you needed to buy two original BCS'. As of this morning they were down to about four coffees and a bunch of the BW.

Prices were okay all things considered so I can't complain too much. I think the three beers were around $45 or $50?

 

There were SOME people who tried (and ultimately failed based on the fervor with people still feeling the need to line up on Black Friday) who tried many times to tell folks here that this happens every year and waiting in line/paying jacked up prices because FOMO is preposterous. Take this as a lesson for future BCS releases- they made a LOT of it this year and that supply will only increase going forward.

 

Not searching for any, I am all set, but did ANY Prop hit in this second wave? I havent heard of anywhere getting more.

 

Heads up for y'all who wants more Regs. Jewel on Ogden and Washington in Naperville has probably 2 and a half cases left when I purchased mine about 3 hours ago. You will need to ask an employee to grab bottles got you.

 

I think there was one post that said a prop was acquired with the second wave....could have been something that was held back maybe.

Was there a second drop of shipments in 2014? Could have sworn there wasn't....

I think people go nuts on Black Friday with the idea that there aren't any guarantees of future shipments

 

For anyone who lives in Naperville area, please hit me up of you have seen Prop and/or coffee!

Additional note: binnys in Naperville will not get any BCBS variants at all

 

There wasn't anything like this last year - not even close to this magnitude. Most binnys /whole foods / jewel seem to havr got 20+ Cases of regular and there appears to be tons of variants too.

I certainly don't remember anything quite like this from recent years
