This person was great at communicating to negotiate a trade of three jester King bottles for my two crowlers of bourbean ten fidy, and we agreed upon a trade where I mentioned shipping the following Monday. As Monday arrived I messaged him to accept my trade request as I was heading to FedEx. I sent him a tracking number and then heard from him two days later after sending him another message. He then claimed he would be out of town. I told him I would have FedEx return my package. FedEx screwed up and delivered the package. I messaged him and he never responded. He then posted a photo of the crowlers on a Facebook page - still without a message to me. Upon being called out on that forum, he mentioned that he did another trade and will not reply to my messages. He uses the tag the brew brotha on many sites, so traders beware!
I asked him to send agreed upon bottles or my crowlers back to me and I am being ignored.

Did you ship without an official trade in the BA system?

Either way sounds like he's easy enough to track on social media and keep tabs on to get your beer. I'd stay on him, via the avenues you can, if he won't respond here on BA.

    Good luck!

I did ship without him officially accepting the trade request but didn't think much of it as his communication was awesome...at first.
I am going to stay on it...

Unfortunately I cannot leave negative feedback now as he obviously won't accept it anymore

Did you respond to / post a trade on these forums and discuss through the messaging system here?

@F2brewers - assuming it was a BA trade can we link to his profile?

If this doesn't work out, let me know and I'll see if I can hook you up with those JK bottles you were supposed to get.

He has now messaged me and appears to be trying to make it right by offering to send a couple of the bottles agreed upon. I will update this thread as this situation plays out

Now on to this after chatting with ya. Hopefully my generosity for the missing pkg is justable. After the conversation to cancel the pkg two days prior to estimated delivery the ball was dropped. Sucks about FedEx but shit happens. As stated in our PM I'd be damned to want to ruin rep over this beer, again no offense, where previous trades went for a lot more.

Don't blame FedEx. They didn't not accept the trade request. They didn't not communicate with your trade partner while galavanting your 'haul' on other social media. They're not to blame for this thread being started. Just man up, get your side out and make it worthwhile for your trade partner that had to sweat you being silent the entire time. FFS.

I never was the one to blame FedEx lol. But thanks for your valuable input

@TheBrewBrotha Why not refuse the package if you didn't intend to follow through on your end? You could have just returned it to the carrier marked refused.

You were happy enough to get the Ten Fidy crowlers you posted a photo of them on FB so why were you going to renege on the deal?

I've dealt with this clown before, definitly a shady trader. Likes to disappear when he can't win trades. Made my DNT list real quick. Sorry to hear about your experience OP

@Patrick_Rosen The way I read this is that he's not sending you all of the bottles he owes you. Only (2) out of (3). Can you elaborate on why he's not sending the *agreed* upon trade. I realize the trade request wasnt "officially" accepted, but a person's only as good as their word.

@dmbforever Yeah, I noticed that too.

@Patrick_Rosen are you selling for less than was originally agreed to? IF so, why?

@TheBrewBrotha surely this isn't another example of your *winning* ways?

@HOPTOMIC_BOMB can you clarify? Have you ever traded with TheBrewBrotha or reached a trade agreement with him?

Either way you happily accepted a box of beer without sending any communication or your end of the deal out until a bad trader thread was created. Excuses suck, not communicating sucks.

@JavaNoire - at this point I have 0 bottles so yes I am sellin for less at this point. He insists that the photo I saw were not the two crowlers I sent him, but instead two from an identical trade he did with someone else...and my package was in turn lost or stolen from his porch.
Yes I am obviously quite skeptical of this, however he is at least talking again and willing to send something. I feel slighted obviously that It sounds like I won't get what was agreed upon, but I am happy that I am supposedly not going to be out of everything all together...not the best experience, but If in fact my package is MIA, he is going above and beyond at this point. No way to prove he isn't telling the truth, so all I can do is trust that he is, and appreciate whatever I am getting..

If it was lost or stolen from his porch, I'd assume he filed a claim, and that would be one way to prove whether it happened. Another would be if he proves that those crowlers actually DID come from another trade - also east to prove.

Otherwise, this whole thing sounds fishy to me.

    @Patrick_Rosen
Did your package show delivered? If so, then you are not liable if it was stolen off his porch or *mysteriously* lost. Filing a claim on his end would prove his honesty. What are the odds that he did an identical trade for the same crowlers and they actually showed up the same time your box arrived (or was stolen/lost)? He should be able to give you the name of the trader he made this *same* exact trade with (assuming he doesn't just grab a friend to collaborate a story).

@TheBrewBrotha will you be accepting his trade request?

@kmello69 looks like your post above sums it up as well
