This is the first time this has happened with me, so I do actually have a call in to FedEx as I did request it sent back to me, and they went ahead and delivered it anyways and it's now missing. I am expecting a call from them tomorrow but I do not know what to expect from them.

@Patrick_Rosen No, he is not going above & beyond if the carrier shows it was delivered.

@TheBrewBrotha please corroborate your claims of the box that disappeared from your porch & your other recent trade for Ten Fidy crowlers. You've stated you don't want to ruin your rep over this. To do so you need to substantiate the veracity of your claims, establishing that they are indeed just remarkable coincidences, rather than cya lies.

@HOPTOMIC_BOMB I've never trades with you not conversed about a trade with you. Sorry

To clarify, I didn't accept any pkg delivered as I am not in state. I assumed the cancel of delivery was taken care of and didn't see that it even delivered until my name was mentioned. Is wasn't sitting on FedEx.com tracking a pkg I wasnt expecting. I agree that it sucks FedEx didn't confirm his request and delivered anyway. I even begged a neighbor to check and confirmed nothing. Now, as I told Patrick via PM and it seems like this is a public matter that's really getting out of hand and I am trying to still help the guy out since I was able to set up a trade for the beer. I can control FedEx and that's even if he really cancelled the request. It sucks for him and would've sucked more for me if I would've have shipped on time and it delivered, hoping it would. I made the proposal two offer a couple of beers he's seeking as it's the holidays and I would love to make it worth a bit of while.

I wish this played out differently, I do. I don't mind helping in any way so the guy doesn't feel too cheated and it's not really costing me anything since I'm doing my 3rd beer giveaway this month, as I'm trying to make others happy I can do the same. Really wouldn't aim to ruin my cred over crowlers, and if so, i would've made worth while with something more running away from trading with. Patrick I thought we worked something out? Need me to file with FedEx to let your fans know I don't mean any harm and proposed to help that you were cool with via PM? Let me know where we stand

cya? I offered to help. I could've let this just go with zero response if I didn't give a shot completely. We agreed that a phone call or txt could've had flags go up to make sure this could've been avoided 100%. I wasn't aware anything was still being delivered and attempt was made until this morning. As far as sharing a photo online I shared a photo that was txt to me as a confirmation and prematurely shared the photo. I'm glad I did share the photo or Patrick and I wouldn't have had the chance to be on top of this today

@Patrick_Rosen What does FedEx tracking show?

IF the tracking shows it was delivered, please do not let TheBrewBrotha off the hook for what he rightfully owes you. IF it was delivered, then this is just an extreme example of his insistence on *winning*, if not something even more sinister.

Just responding to the posts and questions since this is now out there. I don't know if you need to do anything with FedEx at this time...if they say you need to do anything when I speak with them tomorrow I will let you know.

Like I said before if the package was indeed taken/missing then you are going above and beyond by sending me beer and it is appreciated. I will keep you posted on what FedEx says

I'm really starting to get confused and not know what's going on here, between @TheBrewBrotha 's awful use of the English language and @Patrick_Rosen 's lack of a clear explanation.

Is anyone actually out beer here? So the box was delivered, but he didnt know it was being delivered because he's out of state, and then it was stolen, but he's sending beer anyway? And he just happened to trade for the exact same beers in another trade? Trying to wrap my head around it, but man, its tough.

Tracking shows it was delivered...will FedEx make him file a claim in this scenario? Like I said, first time dealing with this

@kmello I thought my first post explained it all...And yes I am out beer.

I can only explain it to the best of my own understanding of the weird scenario

@Patrick_Rosen does the tracking say 'left on porch' or something similar? Could you give us a comprehensive time line such as:
    11/03 agreed to trade 2 beer X for 3 beer Y
    11/04 Exchanged addresses
11/05 notified him I was shipping Mon 11/09 Sent tracking info Mon 11/09

Please include his responses in your timeline, including when he said he'd be out of state.

Did he ever tell you he decided not to go through with this trade?

Those crowlers were $25 each and brewery exclusive. It's kind of a big deal. I'm not sure how plausible this whole scenario sounds to me. Like : no they were stolen but I am out of state and got these from someone else. Hmmm...
I think evidence of this other trade needs to be provided.

    12/12 negotiated trade/exchanged addresses/said I would ship Monday
12/14 I shipped and sent tracking
12/16 I got a message about him being out of town and his phone was lost with apology. I called FedEx that evening to get it returned
12/18 tracking shows it was delivered and phonecalls to FedEx started from my end.

No need to beat a dead horse here. He is now messaging me again and I will update the thread with how this ends up being resolved. Thank you all

Sooo...He agreed to the trade, exchanged addresses, knew you were shipping Mon & allowed you to ship...All with nary a mention of plans to leave town.

IF this is an accurate account of what transpired, he clearly owes you ALL of the beer that you originally agreed to. Settle for no less.

@TheBrewBrotha who was it that you did the very same trade with? Nothing wrong with private convos, but this is publicly out here & should be dealt with openly.

The situation smacks of too many coincidences but prove me wrong. You should have provided the essential info asap. Delaying simply raises additional questions.

@Patrick_Rosen which beers did he originally agree to send? Which beers is he now proposing to send instead?

This is confusing. So you two worked out a deal, agreed, and set a day to send it out, just hadn't accepted the trade request.

It sounds like @TheBrewBrotha was negotiating another deal for the same crowlers after the fact and decided to back out of your deal...just didn't communicate to you. Two strikes for "winning" and DNT IMO.
I gather this from these statements:
What do you even mean by "prematurely shared" the photo?

@Patrick_Rosen On 12/16 you got a message that said he lost his phone with an apology...did he tell you he was backing out at that point? And that is why you tried to get the package turned around?

Sounds like a winner that forgot to communicate he was backing out...and is using the opportunity and generosity of Patrick to get 2 more crowlers at a discount.

Please tell me I'm wrong and come through. It's almost Christmas!!!!

@TheBrewBrotha, enough with the excuses and fulfill your side of the agreed upon trade. FedEx says the package was delivered, it is YOUR fault you are out of town. Why did you agree to the trade if you knew you were about to travel? Why did you not ship on the Monday you both agreed to ship? Sending a couple bottles to help out because you feel bad is crap. Complete the deal like it was agreed to.
