Just opened in Egg Harbor Township NJ
Supposedly they've started making different beers and added new Brewers.
Last night I tasted I see mountains IPA. It was very good honestly up there with some trillium/treehouse beers.

Just for clarification's sake, they have been open for a few years now. They just relocated/expanded into a new space in EHT.

I've only had a handful of their beers, but I've always found their core lineup dreadfully average. Over the last year or so they've started doing more barrel aged and funky/sour beers - which, from what I have had, have ranged from decent to very good. Their grand re-opening featured what seemed like a pretty impressive list - at least as far as styles go.

Oh, and without having tasted the new IPA, this:
seems pretty hard to believe. I would love it if you were right though.

The IPA was great I was stunned everything else I had from them was way below average but I heard adding new Brewers and bringing new ideas I can only see it getting better

Mike, you'll have to make you're way down and try! Amanda and I have been slowly gaining more control over the beers (which I'm sure some of you have been able to tell) . Quality of beer was never a priority before Amanda and I came on board, and we have been working extremely hard to change the path the brewery was on.

As for I Want To See Mountains, we had a panel of friends and beer acquaintances whose palettes we trust do a blind tasting with Melcher Street , Heady, SoS, and Mountains and mountains was the unanimous favorite. Not to toot our own horn .

    Cheers!

Well this is great news. I make it down to Margate every couple months, and your old location was a little far so I only made it there a few times. I'm sure my girlfriend and I will find ourselves there every time we're down there now with the new location being much closer. I look forward to trying it.

Awesome! Ask for Sean or Amanda when you come in so we can be introduced in person. Always love meeting new beer friends! Cheers man

    @Stowers11
Would love to try that IPA myself.
Any plans for canning or distribution in CNJ or NNJ? Or will this just be brewery only for a while?

For the near future at least, it will be brewery only. For the next month or two, we are focused on rotating a better selection of beers through the tasting room and re-establishing local distribution accounts that have not had our beer during the past couple of months that we have been shut down.

Amanda and I do try to get at least a limited number of kegs out to some bars/liquor stores that have always helped push our beers. I Want To See Mountains saw the silly limited distro of kegs sent to Cranberry Buy-Rite and Blend Bar and Bistro, but other than that it was brewery only.

That being said, with this new expansion that we have just completed, we are certainly pushing to have beer in CNJ and NNJ within the year.

    Cheers!

Dude, you so out-kicked your coverage with her. Maybe one day you can crack open a bottle or two and tell us how you pulled that one off!

For those of you who did not make it out to Ocean, Tuckahoe is a little gem. Good beers, better people. Congrats and happy holidays to all of the Jersey shore.

Will you ship sixtels for consumer purchase (not growler stations) to anywhere in Camden County?

We have a distribution contract with Konrad in Camden County so if one were to order a sixtel of our beer through a liquor store that Konrad supplied, you could do it that way.

@mikeburd1128... Tuckahoe I Want to See Mountains is legit. Best IPA in NJ by far, and yes, I would also put it on the same level as Tree House, Trillium, & Other Half. Juicy, sticky, hoppy, delicious...

I tried the Steelmantown Porter two years ago and was disappointed. This is a brewery that I really want to do well.

@MacMalt... Even the Steelmantown Porter is better now. It seems as though the move and expansion has brought a positive change in flavor and quality to even their original offerings. I used to think SP was average, but I tried it last Friday and it was fantastic.

Better than Head High? 077? Sculpin? (sorry had to throw last one in there )I had their Dennis Creek Pale Ale a while back . Didnt like it to much. Havent thought twice about Tuckahoe since. Now this thread comes along stating their new IPA is better than some of the world's best ranked IPAs..to believe or not to believe ... or just make the hour ride down there and find out for myself... uggh the internet lol!!

I had "I want to see mountains" last week. Is it better? That's a preference call but if you like NE style IPAs (which Kane and Carton are not), this fits in with what TreeHouse, Trillium and HF are producing.

To be clear, it's not better or on par but fits the style well. It's great to have a beer like this in NJ and I hope these guys continue in this direction... Or more of that Brett Wit they did a few years ago at Blend Bar.

@Keyes88 thank you for the kind words, and for spreading a sentiment that is too few and far between nowadays! As everyone's palettes are different it should not (can not?) be a matter Of better or worse, but rather a matter of how well done a particular style is and how well it fits within a realm of flavor/aroma/style profiles. Cheers!
