No, the only beer I agree with being one of their top 5 is tank 7, I also really like unfiltered wheat, but not a top beer from them.
Try any of their saisons, tank 7 Saison Brett and their collab 4 was awesome, but that'll probably not be made again.
Dark truth stout is mt personal favorite from them.

I thought I had tasted more than one beer from Boulevard and apparently, according to my ratings, I've only tasted Dark Truth. I need to taste more of there beers.

Long time Blvd. fan here. They were one of the first "crafts" that distributed all of their beers here early on.

These are all staples for me:

    Sixth Glass
    Saison Brett/Tank 7
    Long Strange Tripel
    Dark Truth

I tried Saison Brett for the first time this year. I officially named it my favorite new beer of the year!

On a side note, Boulevard is finally distributing to AZ starting in January, so what a perfect and timely thread!

Tank 7 is proper. It is the only one on the list I've tried, and it is my favorite regular.

Imperial Stout, the year I had it, was delicious, and my highest rated Boulevard beer. Harvest Dance was a winner, as well.

I enjoyed the Love Child I had. Long Strange is quite decent.

Boulevard is the best brewery in the world imo. Rarely do they brew anything that is not at least solid

Here are some of my fav beers from them in order of greatness:

    Love child
    BBQ
    Saison Brett
    Tank 7
    Hibiscus gose
    Imp stout
    The calling
    Dark truth
    6th glass
    Imperial x coffee
    Imperial x Aztec
    Tropical ale
    Double wide
    Lst
    Heavy lifting
    Hoppy wheat
    Bully porter
    Nutcracker
    Wheat
    Irish ale

    And a ton of others

The only ones from that list I've tried are the Tank 7 (two cases) and The Calling IPA (one bottle).

I'd definitely say that Tank 7 is in the top five with no hesitation.

BTW, Duvel-Mortgat owning Ommegang and having an ownership interest in Boulevard and Firestone-Walker is not, in my view, in any way problematic. DM has ownership interests in several breweries and has shown only interest in producing quality beers and supporting those breweries to increase and improve their output. They were part of the group that founded Ommegang in the first place and eventually acquired full ownership. In Europe they bought a brewery that was failing (Leifmans) and kept their Goudenband alive and well so that it is still available for us all to enjoy.

Interestingly I just realized that I've also tried the Heavy Lifting IPA and a few other Boulevard beers. That memory "failure" suggests I'll not be putting those beers in the top 5 just yet.

I don't quite agree with that. While bully porter and the pale ale are quite good, they are not top 5 for Boulevard. I'd go with:
    Tank 7
    Imperial stout
    Long stange tripel
    Nutcracker
    The calling

No best of Boulevard list is accurate if it does not contain Saison Brett.

Literally every single beer on that list is wrong. Wrong. Harvest Dance, Rye-on-Rye, BBQ, Imperial Stout, 80 Acre.

Also, LOL at picking Unfiltered Wheat instead of 80 Acre.:grimacing:

BBQ and Rye on Rye are my personal favorites. The cherries work so well with the bourbon in BBQ and any whiskey lover should love rye on rye as its one of the most rye whiskey forward beers Ive had. My local places charge around $13.99 for those which is a great deal for a 750ml bottle of high abv barrel aged beer.

I could not agree more. It seems to be one of the rare "big market" acquisitions that is totally altruistic; at least from the outside looking in. They've done nothing but give Ommegang the capital to inflate their profile over the course of the past 3 years and produce kickass beers in the process

I'm a big fan of Boulevard, especially the Smokestack Series (750 ml).

    Cheers!

what a lousy list from such an awesome brewery, tank 7 is great, additional awesome beers from them are Dark truth, the sixth glass, long strange triple, saison brett, imperial stout, the calling. not sure where in NY you are butu you might be able to still find their crazy eight variety pack, i'd definitely try and get your hands on that if possible.

I've only tried one of the ones they listed -- Tank 7 -- which, to me, didn't live up the the hype. Top 5 among the ones I have tried...

    Imperial Stout
    Long Strange Tripel
    Harvest Dance
    The Calling
    The Sixth Glass

Still haven't had BBQ or Rye on Rye. They're available at my local shop, but way too pricey in PA to pull the trigger on those.
