They do that for sure, every time I walk in Cask N Flask things seem to be a dollar or two higher.

How does this have anything to do with AB Inbev? It isn't their policy.

I was at Lunardi's in San Jose yesterday and was shocked at their selection. I have family that live down the street from the one in Belmont I should have them do a run for me lol

So, you think that Founders would ONLY send a store KBS?

The Molly Stone stores on the Peninsula got all the variants this year also. Rare was going for $79.99.

Cantillon used a (somewhat) similar tactic in September for their FF/LPF sales. Had to buy 6 gueuze in order to purchase your allotment of FF/LPF (3pp). Now, if only you could convince me that honkers/312/(insert whatever sub-par craft GI beer) is on the same level as gueuze, as well as the intentions of the party benefiting from your unwanted bottle adoption, i'd side with the store (which i don't). Might as well make your rocket-firing boba fett beer redeemable with X amount of proof of purchases from shitty six-packs that can't sell themselves.

Too bad it was restricted to GI and not just a 6 pack of any AB InBev beer... then you could've just bought a sixer of Busch Light and dropped it in the trash on the way on out.

Your premise is right but DISTRIBUTORS are responsible for placement in STORES for the vast majority NOT brewers. (unless talking about super low production, local self distro). But yeah-not going to likely distribute KBS with no Founders sales.

As many have stated, these highly sought after items are either a reward for good sales of their portfolio (whether that be GI or other things)--its the distrubutor's choice. I find it silly that so many individuals are offended that the retailers could feel similar with their customers. Don't get me started on the truck chasing cherry pickers.

I guess this is an acceptable practice, myself personally I don't like it; but if you want some BCBS you gotta pay the price!
I'm shocked that the ABC I frequent continues to have Matilda, Pepe Nero and Sofie 4 packs on the shelf and they never go away!

Speaking of ABC the were having a raffle the other week for a chance to purchase Utopias! No thanks. If it was a raffle to win the bottle, sure sign me up! But a raffle to buy it? Meh, I don't have that kind of cash flow.

Are folks concerned BC too hard to get--i.e. sells out too quick? Well must but underpriced.

Wait BCBS is being sold (and bought) for too much--wait now folks are being gouged (THEY BOUGHT IT).

Whoa--got to buy something else to get BCBS--Oh no, now we're getting cheated.

And InBev is responsible for it ALL ?!?!?

Pass on it every year--I'll enjoy a gift here and there.

The chain rib place in my town, Shane's Rib Shack has bottles of BCBS
and you don't even have buy ribs to get one. Have to drink it there though.

Hmmmmm.....I walked into my beer place a few days before BF and was asked if I wanted 4 bottles of BCBS. I went back after BF and bought them at $10 each. Same scenario happened the year before as well but $24 a four pack. I have a good relationship with them, they know me, I bring them beer and give them beer from my purchase if they ask about it. They get me the beers I want and hold any tough release for me and give me beer every once in a while. I even get calls sometimes when something crazy shows up.

The only time I was asked to buy beer to get beer was when I carried a case out the door with out paying and they asked me for the money.

    Enjoy

Exactly, get over it. At least it's not 12oz now, its 16.9 right? :stuck_out_tongue: Last year this thread came up ten times and people were only geting one bottle out of a 4pk plus the purchase of a six pack that doesnt sell.
