Got the email this morning. http://thefullpint.com/beer-news/victory-brewing-kicks-off-blackboard-series-agave-ipa-grapefruit/ http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2015/10/victory-20th-anniversary-experimental.html http://beerstreetjournal.com/victory-anniversary-xx/ Looks really, really interesting. Looking forward to the Imperial Pilsner, but I'm meh on the Grapefruit IPA.....that's so last year. 20th Anny almost looks similar to the 19th Session IPA with the low ABV. Cheers to some new offerings from Victory for early 2016!
The second beer of the series is certain to excite the funky and wild ambitions side of many craft beer fans. The Dry-Hopped Brett Pils will be available on draft from April to June 2016. The third offering, a Berliner Weisse with Elderflower, will be sold in 12 oz. bottles. The final introduction of the series is an Oatmeal Porter with Hazelnut in a draft format.

cant wait for the new releases from Victory....we get great distribution here in colorado plan to drink many Victory beers over the next two weeks have hop devil, prima pils, moving parts and wild devil on deck and ready to go Victory always BRINGS IT.....like this
How can they put Golden Monkey in cans before Prima Pils? Please tell me I am missing something... This is going to drive me nuts, I want Prima Pils in cans asap!
Very true. I have a feeling its gonna be a HOT summer. So prima in cans would be perfect. I wonder if itll be 4pk cans for Golden monkey because of high abv of they keep the six. Also i enjoy cans more than bottles but to me drinking big Belgian style from the can in the last, they taste kind of weird.
Not sure then needed to jump on the bandwagon of the grapefruit IPA trend. I wish they had done a big dark Belgian or barleywine for the Anniversary beer - would seem more fitting.
FWIW I had a conversation with a local Victory sales rep about a year ago and he educated me that Golden Monkey is a BIG seller down south (he mentioned Texas as an example state). Maybe their decision to can Golden Monkey prior to Prima Pils is a reflection of this market condition? Cheers!
Texas shmexas... Oh well. Prima is my favorite of the style but I will admit that I passed on it in favor of other canned options this summer. Was looking specifically for cans while doing yard work to avoid any breakage. Very much looking forward to when (if) it gets canned.
I agree. Canned Prima would be in my fridge in perpetuity. At least in the summer we get canned Sunshine Pils. Some consolation, at least.
I have zero affiliation with Victory Brewing but I am confident in my prediction that Prima Pils will be canned in the near future (less than 1-2 years from now). Good things come to those who wait! Cheers!
