I drank multiple cans of mosaic over the summer and loved it. So hazy and light with a super nice mosaic hop finish. I just grabbed another 4 pack that was canned 12/2 and it looks/tastes like a whole different beer. It's clear, darker, and tastes like dishsoap with a hint of the mosaic flavor. It was a total drain pour. I tried lost galaxy as well and that was way darker than I thought it would be and had the same dishsoap taste.

Super disappointing because this new batch is no where near the ones put out over the summer. I contacted the brewery but never got a response. Just wondering if anyone had a similar opinion.

Sadly I had the same experience as you, and if the loads of remaining cans sitting around in my local store are any indicator, others feel similarly. Drafts are still pouring well around the local bars, so it's just the cans. I hope they get this issue fixed up soon because Lost Galaxy and Mosaic are two of my favorite beers!

I had both cans in October when we were up for a bachelor party and they were fantastic. Seems strange. Love LN

Yeah it just seems to be this latest round that's way off.

Sounds like oxidation, which could be due to an issue with the canning line, but it could also be a storage problem after it left the brewery. I'd hesitate to jump on LN right away, as they have pretty high standards. Alan/Jamie??

As I said I've always liked their beer in the past but this round of cans to me was so far off the mark. It was just disappointing to spend money on a beer that I had really enjoyed previously and come to find out it was not even close. If you look at photos of a glass from the summer vs. a glass from this batch they look like different beers. The ones I purchased were both stored in a cooler.

Have you had it on tap recently? A pint I tried earlier this week was very pale yellow and extremely mosaic-hop flavoured (lemon, coriander, vaguely blueberry). So that sounds different from your recent can experiences. But I wonder if it's a recipe tweak or a can issue, which a comparison might clarify.

Had mosaic on tap at the brewery last Sat, tasted great. Bought Lost Galaxy and Mosaic yesterday, both tasted as they ever did.

Likely a bad batch for you and not a drop in their overall quality. Pitch Black and Lamoille were good as well.

    Hi Guys,
We are drinking Mosaic batch 12/2 right now and it is tasting great! We hold the quality of our beer in the highest regard and do our best to ensure that every can and keg is perfect. Lalancette, we just pm'd you. please hit us back, we would love to discuss further.

As for cans sitting on the store shelves, that is not the case. We can on average 2 times a month. When we ship these cans, stores usually take a large drop in hopes that it will carry them through till we ship again. If there are stacks of our beer in a store, it most commonly means that our distributor just delivered beer.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any issues regarding our beer. You guys are our eyes and ears in the marketplace and we need you help to ensure that our beer is in it's top form. While we hold samples and analyze every batch, there are so many variables that can happen once the beer leaves the loading dock. However, the cans we have here at the brewery from this batch are tasting great!

    Cheers,
    Allen and Jamie

Anytime I hear the term dishsoap, my mind jumps to the glass its being drank from first.

I thought the batches of Mosaic and Lost Galaxy that I had in cans were decent.

The last time I had an opportunity to get Mosaic on tap, it was oxidated and I ended up pouring it down the drain. It was poured into a howler though and I'm unsure if the people filling it knew what they were doing.

I just bought a 4 pack of galaxy and found it fine. I enjoyed it very much.

I had a batch of mosaic cans a month or so back that were total drain pours. Really disappointing after reading positive reviews. Separately, as a matter of preference, I thought the gose was really lacking. I understand they clearly aren't going for a lacto-forward style gose, but I found this beer to basically be coriander water.
