Abyss

Released at the brewery/pub last Thursday, and started hitting retail spots in Portland shortly after. Same price ($17-18) as last year. I haven't had a bottle yet, but the glass I had at the brewery was delicious, and less boozy than I recall it being in the past.

 

I found it last year at costco in CA for 13 or 14 each, hoping to see it there again soon.

 

To the person at Albertson's (Mill Creek) who was going to buy the last 5 bottles of Abyss but graciously shared two with me, thank you!

 

Someone in Vancouver BC (the store was in Richmond) found a single bottle of 2010 for $6.95 today! The stuff usually sits on shelves here for quite a while, but that's still ridiculous!

 

Any sightings of the variants or any info on distro???

 

Whole Foods in Bend has it for $16.99. Best price I've seen so far.

 

Saw a bunch at Ballard bevmo for 19.69. Definitely passed on that

Was at Costco for $13.89, gone in 2-3 days.

 

No variants, just regular abyss. Believe me, if it was a variant I would not have passed.

 

I have heard on good authority that the Cognac and Rye Whiskey variants will be released sometime next month. No one is missing nothing yet, but watch this space...

 

Variants will only be for sale at the pubs in Portlsnd and Bend.

 

They're going out into distribution, at least in Portland and (presumably) Bend.

bottles of abyss variants are going out into distro. It will be more limited than normal abyss, with some markets getting none.

 

Awesome, and thank you. I'm new to the Bend area, and I didn't know they made any variants!

 

This is the first time, I think. Doesn't seem like they've drawn this connection so far, but maybe it's related to it being the 10th vintage.
