Vanilla was pretty good. I thought coffee had too much coffee. Nothing beats last year's four roses IMO

$30 a bottle here in Alabama. I'll stick with Stone and Ballast point for now and the new Sierra stuff coming up next month, and Hopslam

Same $29.99 and upwards price tag here in NYC, hard to justify purchasing with all the meh reviews.

Crazy price, but got an EC. Really want to try both coffee and vanilla, but don't want to blow 30 more dollars only to find out I'm not a fan.

I picked up a coffee because I'm such a huge coffee stout fan. We'll see....

I wish I could get my hands on some Coffee and Vanilla. The Elijah Craig was one of the best beers I've ever had.

Maybe some Chicago peeps can also comment but I have never seen it on the shelves here? Maybe I'm just simply missing it or it goes too quickly before I can get to it, I don't know.

Chicagoan here... pretty much every Binnys has loads of it. The newest variants usually sell out, but I've had like 4 variants now, and I gotta say... it's incredibly overrated for the price. When a Surly Darkness is $25 with the upsell... its sorta ridiculous to spend $30 on something new that has loads and loads of bottles.

However, everyone and their mother will probably buy the Vanilla one, because its Vanilla, and because it has white wax OOOooooOOO. I saw it today, went OooooOOo.. and skipped it.

And you're also referring to the Elijah Craig 12 year as well? Plenty of it here?

$30 is standard nationwide. I've always held out too. Sounds like the EC is actually worth it??

I was lucky enough to get a few bottles for $25.94 at a bottle shop in Stoneham MA. I recently popped a 2014 Elijah Craig and thought it was a pretty fantastic beer. I enjoy the coffee but agree with most folks that it's a bit pricey for what it is. I'm looking forward to trying the vanilla as well as the grand cru and the cognac.

I can get a bunch of these locally but is the price point of 30/22 ouncer worth it? I am sorry but at that price it need to open and pour itself and maybe give me a reach around. Someone chime in here I might actually go for it-there is just so much else out there I feel it's gouging no matter how small a batch etc....

I cracked a vanilla tonight. It's good but probably not 26 dollars good. Definitely on the thin side. The vanilla is really prominent and gets more pronounced as it warms.
