You should have been fine; restaurants/bars can serve beer before noon on Sunday with a food purchase if I remember correctly.

Yes, so long as you are eating, you can drink before noon.

Did you ask them or assume they couldn't sell it?

Assumed. It was so crazy in there I didn't even ask when I thought about it. In retrospect, I obviously should have, but I didn't see anyone else drinking.

2 quick things....coffee okie has not been picked up yet but very soon.
Second...if liquor stores want sunday sales ( which most don't, added expenses) grocery stores will want liquor sales, it is a delicate balance

Ok didn't know it hadn't made it here. Was in Tulsa when the store employee opened the box and I got one, could have brought some back with me. Sorry....

Great idea, allow grocery stores to sell liquor and sell it on sundays...why not? Many other states have that retail structure, and the sky hasn't fallen yet...

Technically, grocery stores can sell liquor now. They can't sell it on Sundays, so they would have to commit retail space to a product that they can't sell during that time. It would be a nightmare to deal with the fact that the store would have to lock up that area one day a week.

Grocery stores can't sell liquor now. And in states that they can and have similar laws, they just put it in a section that they can easily close off.
