It's a bit hard to purchase a spring pack in December. Especially one that contains a beer called, "Cold Snap" here in New England when we haven't even had a "Cold Start".

But damn, another solid mix pack from Sam Adams in my opinion. Again, I love the format of six different beers. And of course, this is the one that has the voter's choice, the Scotch Ale.

I voted for the Scotch Ale, and it's delicious. This pack also includes the obligatory Boston Lager, and their spring seasonal as I mentioned earlier, Cold Snap. The East West Kolsch is also in the mix, and the pack is rounded out with the return of Noble Pils and an excellent surprise in an ESB simply called, "Session Ale".

While I don't like their witbiers typically, the pack overall is a nice sessionable, non-IPA variety pack, that I'm happily making my way through during this spring-like New England holiday weekend.

Oops, slight edit. It's the Escape Route, not East West, Kolsh.

Aw, dang it. East-West > Escape Route by a decent margin. Except for the Cold Snap, it does seem like a decent non-IPA variety pack.

Another nice pack! So I will get the SN IPA variety pack for my hoppy beer fix, I will get this one for my non-hoppy beer fix...I will be set for a while.

I'll probably pick up some Downtime Pilsner too so that I can do a side by side w/ the Noble Pils. I've had Noble Pils countless times but it's been a while.

Sam Adams has been pretty on point with their variety packs. I can take or leave cold snap but the rest are all solid beers (yes even Boston lager)

I do not like Cold Snap, no no no! But that wouldn't stop me from trying the pack. But that means I don't want the Cold Snap and I can take or leave the Boston Lager. That not a bad beer, it's just we've all had it multiple times and want to go to newer and different things).

Has the ABV for the Scotch Ale been released? I've found most Scots are around 8%, which would be kind of hefty for a Sam mixer. No doubt I will pick up a box. The 6X2 format of Sammy suits me just fine. And my guests, also. Cheers!

We got these last week, and I swear we just stopped getting Cold Snap a month ago.

Picked up this mixed pack a few days ago. I had to do a double take to make sure these were considered spring beers. So far, so good with every beer I've sampled. The scotch ale was really impressive, not quite dirty bastard, but it paired well with prime rib. The only beer I've not tried yet is cold snap and judging by previous comments this may turn into a guest beer. Overall, this was a pleasant change from all of the massive stouts and ipas I've been drinking lately.

Willing to try the scotch ale but most Sam Adams offerings are thin versions of a particular style suited for BMC drinkers wanting to branch out into craft beer. Wish Sam would release more sixer's of the good stuff that they are more than capable of producing

The ABV was either 5.4 or 5.5%, I forget which. Regardless, on the lower end, but absolutely delicious. My favorite out of the pack (I haven't had the Cold Snap yet, but I have had it before).

So I guess we have Sam Summer to look forward to on draft at every restaurant in the commonwealth by, like, Valentine's Day?

Was bummed to see this as I visited the store this past weekend to pick up another winter pack and it was gone - replaced with this pack. Don't doubt it's a decent mix pack but I want more of that chocolate bock.
