Weasel Rodeo

I know the new Weasels have just now showed up in DFW, but does anyone know any place(s) in DFW that might have any of the Weasels on tap right now? (or any that are suppose to this week)

 

Central Market Lover's lane has a lot of weasel, and only 3 left of the others as of 3pm.
no limit on weasel.

 

Called them and said they sold out within 30 minutes.

Ummm no. If my trade offer of whiskey + weasel + beer geek for chocolate rain goes unanswered than its not a whale.

To me I think that is a very solid offer, the problem is that many people just dont know about these Weasel Rodeos. That, and im sure also because of the lack of reviews on the Weasel Rodeos.

 

Hmm, my wife picked some up at 11ish, and someone else posted that they still had it at 3pm...

 

What exiled said. Eventually people will realize how limited this really is. 1/10 the production of King Henry and distributed made it tough to get. I don't know how many Choco Rains there are, but I bet it's way more than 1200.

 

I want it to do well in the trade forum but I doubt it will pull down the really hyped bottles. Chocolate Rain Batch 2 was 3 per RS member (which is 1350 members) but it was double the price of the Whiskey Rodeo at $40.

I think that's hype though. I wouldn't be surprised if Whiskey Rodeo costs more to make. I know people are looking for Bonnie. I'm sure the rodeos will follow. They may never trade for hype machines, but I'm sure they'll pull some good stuff.

 

I think it's absurd to call these wales. I think it's absurd to call King Henry a wale. I think wales are absurd.

 

Honestly, I could care less. I've come to realize many of the hyped up beers aren't that much better and/or worth the money and/or effort. I'll ride the "hype" machine for a trade or two but for the most part I have been trading the few bottles I have $4$. The beers I have traded for are awesome beers we can't get in TX, many of which I've had before. I gave away good beer and received good beer, I'm happy.

If you trade Weasel, whiskey, and bonnie for a CR you're looking at roughly $45. Depending on where you ship add another $15-20. Throw in a few decent extras, you're up to about $85-90. Not to bring it up a stupid point but I will, it cost me $20 round trip to get the JK beers. Add that to the total, I'd rather hold on to my JK beer and pay $90-100 for a CR on another site. I'd probably due it once and figure out if the hype was worth it or not.

 

This is all I think about when you people mention Chocolate Rain:

 

I don't want to trade them - I want to drink them.

 

I'm not going to trade without tasting.

 

Anyone even try this yet? There are a few "hads" but no good reviews yet. I may try mine today to see what its all about.
