Shelby Pub had some bourbon county today, according to their beer menus page. Also, their Facebook says they were expecting bottles today too. Have not verified, just sharing in case anyone was hoping to get a taste.

Just noticed BCBS and BCBS Barleywine on the shelf at Sawyer Home & Garden in Sawyer, MI. I'm all set for this year, so I didn't grab any, but just wanted to give other people a heads up.

Yea, looks like Michigan is getting the 2nd wave now. Action Liquor off Van **** near 696 posted that they just got BCBS. If you missed out on the first wave, you should start calling/visiting the usual stores again.

Nope. I got the 2nd from the last one left. One bottle per customer. Guy there told me they saved this from their initial release. I wish there was a second wave for us in bcbs-starved MI but I doubt it :slight_frown:

A guy who runs the beer and wine department at the grocery store by me, in Oakland county, was told by his distributor that they would be getting it towards the end of January. Seems unlikely.

I encourage everyone to do this, +more! Working at a bottle shop myself, they would be screwed without me. Not every beer orderer out there knows wtf is what, and about 97% of cashiers have no idea wtf you're talking about.

Not to say they'll order w/e you request(new stores/soon to be closed stores order whatever on request by whoever).. But if you hound them, and let them know you WILL buy it, it will sure as shit be in stock(they want money as much as you want beer, right?). Tho that's always not the case.. I feel bad for folks that have shitty run bottle shops around them.

We'll/they'll order it, so long as you fucking buy it.. Nothing annoys me more than someone who requests something but doesn't buy it.. You live and you learn. A lot of places get burned on customer/rep requests.

The key here is trust.. Show your face more often then not, and speak up. Tell them your name, get thier name(s), be friendly, get the store phone number and call them! We get so many bullshit requests from bullshit people. We write down any and all requests, and wait to see if they keep it contact, or to see how many other requests come in. We even require deposits before we order certain items! Tho 95% of the time that's liquor. You would be surprised to see how many people come into your store and request shit, only to never show up again. We are in our fourth year, so we've been through the garbage, and learn when to ignore it.

Let them know how close you live/how often you buy beer. Your shit will show up, for sure! You just have to sweet talk us, like we do to you

Just walked into two different stores in Manhattan (NYC) that had CASES sitting there for $10/btl, no limit. Bought a case, had a hell of a time lugging it and a few other beers on the subway.

    Beer distro is dumb.
