Okay, my sore throat has not yet manifested itself into a full blown cold. Strange, after a few decades on this earth, I've learned when my body is telling me things, it seems to be fucking with me, as I don't feel good as gold either. So I decided to fight back. Hit Adroit for the last release party. These two samples (as I'm not ready to fight the police presence, whatever it may be) are previous releases, Bourbon Tenebris (Barleywine) and Imagination Atrophy (BBA macchiato stout). Cheers and happy new year to all should I not check in again (although GF needs to get ready to visit friends, so I should have time)

 

This is like an Almond Joy in a glass. I think this was too cold the first time I had it, because this is tasty. Cheers. Gonna do some kid friendly NYE stuff for a few hours and coming back with a big gun later .

 

Last Celebration, so I guess this is as good a time as any to enjoy it...

Alright time to start drinking & drinking heavily. Had to take half a day, but sure didn't want to miss my Sooners play their most meaningful game in a about 7 years. The Willows Family Ales Heath Sweat up first, a Gose with Salt & Coriander. Boomer Sooner y'all!

Got this in an unprovoked box from @WesMantooth yesterday.
The head is unlike any DIPA that I can recall in a while...it's thick, rich and oily. It's coating the glass like an egg nog latte.

Just Enjoyed a bottle of Mother's Milk (love the name) and the Houston/Florida State game. Can't wait for the next game to start. Why did I have to ruin a perfectly great day ( outside of the Not My Father's Root Beer) with dinner plans?

 

I use the tabletop sharpener for our wustohfs.it works good, but use hone too once in a while

She's displaying class with the pinkie outstretched. The Belgian judge gives her a 9.5 on form but 7.0 on the technical as the ring finger is too far off the stem of the glass.

 

I domed one on Xmas eve. Took me four hours but holy hell is this delicious.

 

That's the one I bought. I have never used a hone and I am scared ebcause I hear that getting the angle is tricky. I am not so patient. I want more knives from them let me tell you. I tried these two today and they are spectacular. Perfect balance. The weight is like nothing because it's balanced. I don't have to saw back and forth and I cut that chicken for the general tso in just a few seconds. They have two tabletop sharpeners and I got the cheapest to try first.
