This has been aging for 3 years in my father-in-law's fridge for just... this... moment. This is actually really great.

Happy New Year's Eve BAers. Thanks @BalancingBrooms for your thread on Stone IPA. It inspired me to revisit this classic beer.

Used another host to remedy the issue. Not sure what's up with Imgur. I've never had any problems with them before, aside from some latency issues.

That print was pretty small. It almost looked like "session lager". Thanks for clarifying. Thought your account got hacked for a second.

Playing with a Christmas gift from my brother. And yes, drinking beer from a can, even with this in front of me.

Had to pick-up some coffee on the way home from work and decided to pit-stop in my go-to beer store next door at mission’s end, despite already having more goodness than I can comfortably consume in the next three months. Lo and behold, I came upon this little temptress….

Confession upfront, the only other American Barleywine I’ve had is Bell’s Third Coast Ale, which rocked my taste buds to the core and set the bar at a level where pretenders need not apply. Keep that in mind when I offer my opinion and also bear in mind I very much like boozy beers as a rule and this one clocks in at 11.4% ABV. So what’s the verdict? Ahhh….I’m…. conflicted….sorta. The first 95% of the taste test went really well….very well, in fact. It’s the last 5%, the after taste (sorry, I’m totally inept when it comes to beer vernacular) that gives me pause and perhaps keeps this from reaching “Hell, yeah!” status. Sweet, malty pleasure grabs the buds and caresses them much the same as Third Coast does, before a piney bitterness slaps you out of your sweet reverie and makes you go wuhhhh, happened.

Still mulling this one over, and certainly no math major, but I’m thinking 95% > 5% so I’m likely headed back to spend more money tomorrow before somebody smarter than me scoops up the remaining three four packs.

Just picked up my first SN beer camp tropical ipa. More grapefruit than grapefruit sculpin, but tastes more natural. I think I'm in love.

Just a few for tonight. Gotta get up circa 0400 to head out for a hockey tournament.
So, have to make these count!
