I want to drink less, be on here less, trade less, be less informed about releases that make me end up consuming more. And likely just get back to the basics. Less chase and review score searching, and just more back to its roots beer drinking.

I'm not saying I want to throw away what my tastes buds say and throw back some macro swill like its 1983. But this information age we live in can be such a blessing and a curse. And unless its a part of my profession (which it's not), I want to deactivate myself a bit.

I was lucky and we did about 8 blind tastings this past year. I want to get more in on this with your basic core lineup stuff mixed with stuff that may be harder to obtain. Throw away name attachments, logos, and even if its a can or a glass, and really just get back to how beer tastes. So if there is anything I want to do more of, it would be blind tastings.

Less quantity, greater quality, journey to more small New England breweries.

Be first in line and max out allotment at any release I can get to. Then cellar the beer or trade for other beers and cellar them. Cellar or bedroom them I guess since I live in my parents basement. I rarely drink, more of a collector. I would also like to lose some weight so I can finally fit into skinny jeans and cuff them at the bottom. Also want to get a tattoo of R2D2 on my calf. My resolution in 2015 was to try outdoor activities like mountain biking and hiking but that didn't work out since I'm not coordinated. Happy new year friends!

Drink a beer from the nine states I haven't. And try more styles and beers from other Countries ,
And reduce mt cellar by at least 10 percent.

i agree New England has been stepping up their game but you are also in a good place, many good breweries especially around Charlotte and Asheviille that we can't get up here so enjoy!

My goal is similar to @guinness77 which is to drink a good amount of my current stock of beer and to not to add too much additional to what I already have, within reason. I hope it should be easy enough for me to do since I don't have any trips out of town planned for a while!

To not drink as much beer in one night as @DrunkinYogi and I did last night. Not this year. Not ever. Uggghh.

My resolution is to do less trading and buying and do more drinking. I'll also continue my 2015 resolution of not drinking at home on week nights; makes you appreciate it more and makes my wife alot cooler with my morning beer on Saturdays and Sundays.

I'm considering aiming for an "only drink beers I've already had before at least once" sort of thing for this year, rather than trying tons and tons of new things like I did in 2015.

Probably making an exception for new beers on tap while visiting a brewery if that ever ends up happening (oh, I suppose "visit at least one brewery" could be Beer Goal #2... was meaning to get around to at least one in 2015 but that never ended up happening.)

I think I'm gonna ease up on the drinking, TBPH. Over 1,100 beer reviews in the last 4 years is no joke, and that maybe accounts for 15-20% of my total drinking in that time. I'll probably take an entire month off sometime by April.

Ironically, my major beer resolution is about the opposite of my life resolution.

Life resolution: get rid of more and more stuff. Clean up my life, material possession wise. Trying to go somewhat minimalist.

Beer resolution: It's about the opposite of everyone else's in here. Start cellaring beer, dammit. I've bought several large bottles that I intended to leave in my cellar, but drank. I am just so curious when I buy a bottle. I think I have about 5-6 that will for sure be aged from here on though.

-Also, make friends with a few bottle shops. I think I've found the two I want to support. Now I just need to relegate myself to them.

My goal for 2016 is to find more beer cocktails that can replace the specialty beer that I pay ridiculous amounts for. Maybe a ratio of Four Roses and a simple Breakfast Stout that can replace hoarding $12+ bombers of BA imperial stout by the case. Maybe I find out a splash of peach juice in a favorite canned berliner weisse can scratch the same itch I'd get from drinking $15+ bombers of fruited sours. After all, the biggest reason brewers barrel-age their beers to get the flavor of a spirit instead of just adding it is because they couldn't legally sell it as beer. That makes tons of sense, but I'm not bound to that as a consumer.

So likely for 2016- lots more drinking, but a lot *less* ticking uniques and variants.
