For the edification of any CAN and/or hockey freaks out there, I'll be coming to Bridgeport later today to drink beer and watch the Sound Tigers today and tomorrow before heading home on Monday. Let me know if you'd like to meet up during my visit. I understand Two Roads BC is nearby?

Two Roads is very close, the next town over. An easy drive, but also super easy train. Just one stop and Two Roads has a shuttle. There is a small brewery just opened in Bpt. On Fairfield Ave in the college bar section. Haven't been but had samples at a beer fest and wasn't impressed. Not too familiar with tap lists in downtown Bpt or the college area, but Local and Craft 260 in Fairfield usually have pretty damn good beers on tap.

That may be the first time anyone has exclaimed they were heading to B-Port. You can find great tap lists and great food in New Haven.

Don't need to go all the way to New Haven for good beer. Plenty of good beer in the area. Walrus and Carpenter, Crafty Monk, Craft260 and Local Kitchen. That small brewery you mentioned is Fairfield Brewery I believe it is called and I had one of their beers that I thought was very good.

The brewery on Fairfield Ave is Aspetuck Brew Labs. It's solid beer and it's very close to Craft 260, Crafty Monk and Walrus + Carpenter.

All the way to NH? He is driving from Pennsylvania, I'd bet the extra 15 minutes won't hurt and you can get a piece of pizza and hamburger history along with great beer.

If you feel like taking a drive, fuzzy baby ducks is on tap at a few places right now. Hamden, guilford, and wolcott.

I thank everyone who responded. I was (apparently) unclear on my trip. I took Amtrak from Lancaster, PA to New York Penn Station & transferred to the LIRR out to Port Jefferson. I got to Port Jeff BC before boarding the LI Sound Ferry to Bridgeport, where I went to see the Sound Tigers on back-to-back nights. The hockey arena did, indeed, feature Two Roads, of which I had a few. Sunday afternoon was spent visiting the newly-opened Aspetuck Brew Lab before hieing to a nearby sports bar to watch th' Stillers/Klowns & Jets/Bills games. The Sound Tigers won in OT over the Rochester AmeriCANs and then my Hershey Bears thumped them 5-0 on Sunday before I returned home early Monday morning. Thanks for all of the advice!

Why did you take the ferry? Penn station to grand Central to Bridgeport and then walk to arena

I am a retired US Navy sailor & the urge to get underway again has led me to a (potentially) new hobby - riding ferries around. Rest assured, I heard that Q a good bit on my trip.

I work in Bridgeport and I'm finally going to a Sound Tigers game on the 31st, relieved to hear they have Two Roads there. I assume it was Ol' Factory Pils? Went for a pre-season NHL game a few years ago and settled for Heineken.

Next time you come over let me know and hopefully we can grab a beer somewhere!

Actually, Two Roads has quite the presence! They offered Honeyspot; Road 2 Ruin; No Limits & Ol' Factory. Plenty to keep me satiated over the two games. I will absolutely let you know (although it may not be any time soon)!
