Underrated SD Breweries

    So everyone is always recommending the usual suspects: Stone, Modem Tones, Societe, Rip Current, Alpine, Pizza Port, Lost Abbey, etc. But what about the underrated breweries? I'll put my hat in the ring for Mother Earth and Monkey Paw. What say you?

    New Alesmith is fantastic. I enjoy Belching Beaver, Council is alright, most people like Toolbox as well.

    Belching Beaver doesn't get too much love but I think they have great beers and they always seem to experiment with fun stuff which I really appreciate. Also gotta say Toolbox is awesome. I've only been there once but I wa blown away by dat Autumn Bliss.

    Amplified Aleworks. Beer is good and location is likely better than any other brewery. And I'm not sure I've ever seen them mentioned on BA.

    Assuming you are already in PB, then the location is good. It can be difficult to get into and out of PB at various times throughout the day.

    Toolbox has some quality selections, and is worth a stop if you're looking to avoid the top picks. Fall Brewing also has a few worth trying out. 2 A.M. Bike Ride is their pretty solid coffee stout.

    Backstreet in Vista is criminally underrated right now. Some great beers being brewed by Anthony there.

    Same boat. I thought they make solid, if unspectacular beer. I'd go there more if their IPA was better. 2am Bike Ride on nitro is the shit though.

    Brewery, taproom, and restaurant. Space shared with Cork & Craft. They are putting out some rather solid beers. If you see M2 on, grab some of that.

    I'll be the first to say Bagby. Love the beer, the place and the food. I also enjoy Breakwater but they don't get much love at all on the forums.

    Valley Center Brewing.









    I kid I kid, one of the worst breweries. Don't ever go. It's like being served windex in a pint glass at an old dirty insane asylum.
