Just wondering who has gotten distro of this beer in cans. It is now made on a much larger system in Sloop's new farmhouse facility in Northern Dutchess County (NY).

Also wondering what you might have thought about this latest batch, especially if you had previous batches either in bottle or on tap, from their original nano system?

And has anyone visited the new taproom yet? What did you think? I am planning a trip in two weeks.

Anyone tried any of the other beers brewed in the new facility?

I actually saw them at Foodtown in Yonkers last week. Brought a smile to my face as I know their humble beginnings and really dug Sauer Peach the few times I've had it at a few festivals and bars in Westchester.

Didn't buy it this time around, but I'll definitely grab some soon and report back.

And haven't been to the new taproom yet nor have I tried any of their other beers, but it's definitely on my list. Between them, Suarez Family Brewing, Mill House, 2 Way, From the Ground and Plan Bee, 2016 is looking to be a hell of a year for the Hudson Valley.

Grabbed a Peach Sauer and Black Razz cans at Covenhoven (Brooklyn) this weekend. Haven't popped either yet, but seemed like they were moving off the shelf quickly.

North River is expanding too, and don't forget about From The Ground.

I am most curious to try the beers now made at CIA by Hutch Kugeman, formerly brewmaster at Crossroads, in conjunction with the Beer Brewing courses offered there.

Be sure to say hi to Larry and Jamie at Mill House, two good friends from homebrewing days. Tell em you know me from BA.

Good times for us fine beer lovers round here for sure.

Got a 6'er on LI. I thought it was very good for my first taste of Sloop.

I really enjoyed the Sauer Peach. Grabbed that and a Black Razz at Beernoggin while I was in Bronxville over the weekend.

Deciccos in Brewster has cases stacked up (as well as Black Razz)! Picked it up over the weekend, tasting real nice!

Tangentially related, but just had Confliction from Sloop on tap at Proletariat last night and I loved it. Went straight to Good Beer from there to pick up a can of Sauer Peach. Jazzed up to crack it tonight with some homemade pizza. Yummmm.

Also the bartender at Good Beer mentioned that he thought that Sloop nay have changed their recipe from the last batch of Peach to this one -- he felt that this batch seemed far sweeter, perhaps indicating the use of some canned peaches as opposed to 100% fresh. Thoughts?

Sloop is my favorite brewery in the NY. We went to their taproom about a month after they opened. Sours are my thing and all theirs were fantastic. Cool space too. I've had Sauer Peach there, at a bar and in cans, and they all tasted great to me. Picked up a 6 pack of Black Razz last week. That was another favorite of mine at there taproom.

I know how they make it and I can tell you you're right, canned peaches is not an ingredient haha. Not gonna post how they do it here, but peaches is one of the harder fruits to get right, and they def. get it right.

I too am finding this a touch sweeter, also a touch less earthy, and softer mouthfeel, than before. Drinking fantastic. Works out cheaper per ounce too.

And at 4.3% it's ACTUALLY sessionable! Unlike the 6.89999% "session" IPAs flooding the market now.

Snagged cans of Peach Sauer and Black Razz up in Albany last week, haven't tried either. Also have seen Confliction on for growlers at some local spots. Glad these guys are in the area now.

Grabbed a can each of Sauer Peach and Black Razz at Astoria Bier and Chese just to try them out.

Both instant drain pours, just horrible. Not sure if it was a canning issue as both had rotten aftertaste, but I'm a big fan of sours and this was very disappointing.

Got a Sauer Peach can and thought it was fantastic. Peachy tartness. Going to pick up some more on the next shop visit. Going to try the the razz cans too.

Did you report this to Sloop? I am sure they would want to know if there are bad cans out there.
