Hey guys, so I was wondering if anyone has been to Fonta Flora lately and seen what they have on tap and what bottles they have for sale? (Their website doesn't show any beers in their "On Tap" selection, at least for me anyway) Was hoping they still might have some bottles of Brine. Wouldn't be a bad idea to see if we could keep a running thread of what they have both on tap and for bottles.

I would think that they do have bottles of brine. I have seen it around Asheville which means they Brewed a good amount. I actually really liked the beer.

I was very surprised with brine...I didn't expect it to be tart, and the oyster/ocean flavor works extremely well with it. I grabbed my bottle at salud noda last week and they still had one left.

It can be kind of a crap shoot with what's on tap though. I went for my bday in August and they had beets rhymes and life and golden br&l, table scraps, and a pale...and that was all. The bottle list was nice with vestige bloom and wither, Brutus, Carolina custard...but it was a little disappointing that there was no hop beard for the ipa drinkers I had with me.

I still had an amazing time and I'm sure that their style of locally sourcing ingredients is a factor in the tap list.

Up to this point they don't generally have any bottles for sale except on bottle release days. I think this will start to change as they bottle more beers in the near future, but right now Brine would be the only one possibly there.

Draft list is obviously a different story. They will sometimes post on social media when they have a new beer coming on, but yeah usually it's tough to get a full up to date list.

I should clarify that I was referring to bottles to go. Sometimes they will offer on-site bottles, which is I believe what @Yaoverstand was referring to. Although I think the days of walking in and seeing limited sours like those available for on-site may be a thing of the past or at least not the norm.

Looks like we need to get some "Fonta" girls for our marketing campaign.

As for bottles, there are none to speak of at the moment. Brine is sold out at the brewery though I've heard a few bottle shops still have some. With that, we will be releasing six new bottles into the world over the next month, with at least another in between. Three bottles on January 16th and three more on February 20th. Keep up with us on social medias for all of the pertinent info on those bottles and releases.

As for draught, we will try and be better about posting what is currently available. I'll give y'all an updated list a little later.

Thanks for the quick reply! Super excited for your bottle releases! I'll have to check out the bottle shop there in Morganton to see if they have anymore Brine.

Eric, tons of Brine at Appalachian Vintner and Bruisin Ales. Not sure when you said you were getting up to Asheville.

P.S., everyone keep these release hush hush. If FF gets anymore popular we're gonna have to start camping out for these releases.

Don't waste your time looking for FF beers at the bottle shop in Morganton, for what ever reason Charlotte and Asheville get bottles but the shop, only a block away gets nothing. Don't understand it myself.

Well I don't know how to reply directly to a post but this is in response to Wookiefists comment.

Morganton is a tiny community. Fonta Flora Brewery is a few blocks down the road from Brown Mountain Bottleworks. It has been my mindset that if people wanted to buy bottles of FF beer while in Morganton, they should do so from the source. We sell to Asheville and Charlotte because those markets are obviously further away. Just doesn't make sense to me with our current level of inventory to sell bottles to a shop that is a few blocks away.

I think it's a legitimate question, especially with the brewery's limited business hours. But it was well-answered.

So the bottle release Saturday will start at 3? I'm just assuming that since that's when they open.

That's how every other release has worked, so I'm going with yes unless we hear differently.
