Yes, good question. Is this gonna hit shelves, like regular People's Porter? NEED INFO!!

I think usually they sell them at the brewpub and then a few other specialized stores... Like the Sam's Quik Stop... Btw, BBL Peoples Porter is quite delicious.

Usually, yes, but they've never released bottles of BA People's Porter, so we don't know yet if it will be a brewery release or not. For regular People's Porter, Torch Pilsner, etc., they just hit regular distribution, which meant all over Raleigh (and all other parts of the state). I guess it just depends on the batch size, considering this is bal-aged, it will probably be a smaller batch, which will probably mean a brewery release with dist to a few select stores, like you're saying.

I have high hopes for this version of BA People's Porter, but I've had from multiple batches over the past couple years, and it can be hit and miss.....though, mostly it's been quite good.

The batch at WBF - Raleigh last year was awesome!

Wish they'd do a BA Baltic Porter!

Not anymore... The beer sounds good, but if there is a release it will not be worth a trek anymore... Negative Nancy has spoken

I know they've aged it separately in (1) 23-year-old Pappy van Winkle, (2) Knob Creek (for Busy Bee in Raleigh), and (3) misc. Buffalo Trace (I think Weller showed up most recently) barrels in the past.

From the label, the bottled version will be from "20 year old bourbon barrels." I'd be curious to know the brand myself.

Yes it was! The one tapped at Sam's, not so much ... a bit of sourness in that one.

I might feel the same if I actually had to come a long way. It did SUCK not being able to drink in line but we had a good little tasting once we got inside.

Great news! Especially if it's going to be a regular release throughout their distribution. This beer is better than Sexual Chocolate.

They had this beer on tap at the ORF release and it was truly awful. I couldn't even finish my glass of it! It tasted like a porter with a shot of Everclear dumped in. I hope for Foothills' sake that it was just a bad batch and that the bottled version is significantly better.

I think your going to see a pretty good release to retailers on this one, I wouldn't put it past Foothills to have a pretty fun "release something" at the brewery, but I think this is going to be heavily sent out to retailers! So everyone should be able to find this little beauty in a bottle! Release could be 2 weeks to 6 months ( in other words I haven't heard a timetable for release!!) I just hope it gets up the hill before I can't watch the snow come down with a bottle in hand!!

That one at Sams's was funky! It was hard for me to try it again after having that one, but I'm glad I did b/c the second batch I had was great.
