Exactly, I have a good buddy that lives about 4 blocks from this place. He's a beer guy and we do a lot of bottle sharing together. I've gone to Sarah Mart before to grab things when up that way. Over the past year, both my buddy and myself have had such bad experiences there that he refuses to go there anymore. HE'S LOCAL and could have been a good customer. Everybody seem to criticize the shops that gouge or make you buy a random 6 pack to have the privilege of buying a limited release. Those are poor business practices as well, so I don't understand how some people can defend places like Sarah Mart. I'd really be interested to know if they ever had it in the first place! Anybody know anybody that got one from there this year?

There are a lot of good places to bottle shop in that area, WLL and Bottles and Cans to name a couple. The thing is, I can't get a loaf of bread, chips, lotto tickets, etc. from those places. This guy by being a jackhole is hurting his own business without realizing it because he's just like most everybody else these days as he's shortsighted.

Anyway, no big deal as you won't see me there again.

To the people complaining about calling. You just don't understand the situation from the other side of the counter. Madagascar, and many other rare beers, are sold to certain accounts based on their sales history with that particular breweries. So those guys who only come in for that one beer. You do them no favors. It's the guys who fell in love with resurrected IPA, or divided sky rye who helped them get that beer into their store. They are the ones who the store is going to look to get that beer to. Rare beers sell with no effort so coming in to only by rare beer again does not help that store. It's the guys who shop there for more than just the latest trade bait or whatever.

Y'all entitled, bourbon has been like this for years. Stop just chasing and find a good shop to purchase all your beer and liquor from, if they start selling to these chasers and you get tired of it, you just leave the game, nothing to be bad about or feel cheated out of.

These are businesses that run they way they want, if you feel they fucked you, don't shop there, but don't complain about a shop you only plan in visiting for a rare liquor.

I can totally respect a store that wants to take care of their regulars, but I can't respect a store that uses Beer Menus to advertise a beer that they only plan on selling to their regulars.

I saw it at Sarah Mart, tried to buy it and another but they required you to buy another beer to be able to get each one. I told them I didn't like the one they were hocking and they said sorry everyone wants the good ones and they need to move the other stock too.

    I passed.

As a side note Sarah Mart had tons of it sitting out, they for sure we're not saving it for regulars.
