Not usually a two fisted drinker, but what better way to start my Sun morning than with some locally roasted coffee and one of my favorite Jolly Pumpkin beers. Got the wood stove packed and headed out to the studio for a full days work.

Good morning BA! Hope you all have a great Sunday

Amazing as usual. Big bright flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine; with some light honey/bready malt balance and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitterness; nice dry finish with a sticky/resinous mouthfeel and no lingering hop or pith astringency. I have been drinking a ton of their IPAs ever since they came to the state. All of them are awesome.

This stuff is so awesome. Flavors of huge rum, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted oak, and light vanilla. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness and rum/oak spice; with a sticky/resinous and creamy/silky medium-full bodied mouthfeel. Light-moderate warmth of rum barrel alcohol, with minimal booziness. Very smooth sipping. It's definitely a rum bomb, but still provides a lot of the normal barrel complexities in the flavors; with a nice balance of the pineapple and citrusy hop flavors and bitterness. There is still a ton left on the shelves near me so I will definitely be buying more.

Great quad! Huge flavors of raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, apple, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and light nutty maltiness; with some herbal hop and yeasty earthiness. Fair amount of yeast spice on the finish; with a great balance of yeast and malt flavors with no cloying sweetness. Some creaminess and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Well attenuated overall considering the ABV. Really glad I grabbed a 4 pack, this is excellent stuff for an American made Quad. Tons of complexity and great balance all around. Will definitely be picking up Blasphemy next time it is released, wish I had done so last year now.

Always fantastic. Huge flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and piney hops; with moderate malt sweetness of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and toasted bready malts; with floral/grassy hop and yeasty earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitterness; with moderate hop stickiness and balanced creaminess in the mouthfeel. Around 3 months old on this bottle, so still has plenty of hoppiness and bitterness. Age brings it into more of a barleywine character. Love it both ways.

    Cheers!

Good morning BAs! Another beautiful day in sunny NW PA where the sky blends into the fog which blends into the hills. Breakfast today is:

One of the better barley wines I've had and also one of the better offerings from Clown Shoes. Or maybe I just like the English-style barley wines better than the 'Murrican styles.

Getting a late start today. What a pair of games to kick off the Divisional Playoffs. Hopefully both of today's tilts are just as good...or better. Starting off Soft but gonna hit the harder stuff as the day rolls on. Cheers.
