I did not intend to ignore someone, but my inbox never updated over a couple days. Resulted in ignoring someone inadvertently. I tried to apologize, but I may have been ignored by now.
I don't know what else to say. Just saying, we all need to be patient maybe?

I may only have 9 trades, but I answer every message. But it's extremely annoying when anyone, regardless of amount of trades, doesn't answer. Especially when you reply with their exact ISO.

I'm literally going through this right now. Guy posts an ISO:FT this morning(Simple Hoof Hearted for Tree House cans), I respond within 10 minutes of his thread being posted saying that I have exactly what he's looking for and I'm ISO exactly what he has. He responds in a few minutes saying he's interested and tells me how many of each HH he wants and I respond back a few minutes later telling him which of his cans I'm interested in. Boom, he disappears. I can see that he's been on and "Engaged in Conversation" multiple times over the next hour and finally 2 hours later I message and ask if he's still interested...nothing. I just messaged again about 30 minutes ago saying all I want is a simple response. I can see that he read my message but hasn't responded. Sure enough, I check his account, zero trades and this was his first ever post. Very quick way to end up on a DNT list. I just wasted a day with what I thought would be a very simple trade.

My last six messages I have sent: I will do your trade as posted...blah blah blah. No response. Not even a thanks but took someone else offer. These arent even all newbies but people with 20+ trades as well

I am a fairly new trader and make sure to respond to everyone. There is nothing more frustrating than wasting my energy and time waiting for someone to respond, especially when you see they are online and actively talking to others.

Yea I don't really care. If a new (or old, as you'd be surprised how not cool some vets on here are, you know because they had to walk to school backwards, in the snow, barefoot, blah blah blah ) don't take the time to respond it makes it pretty easy for me in that it tells me two things:
    1) probably someone that I didn't wanna trade w anyway as their communication is obvi shitty
    2) let's face it the only time we care about a response is when we're the ones chasing beer- to me this point is for myself, don't get butthurt, move on.

This just happened to me last week. Guy responded to my ISO saying he though he could help me out, but he had to "check his cellar" to see if he had one of the bottles I wanted. No big deal. He writes back that he does indeed have the beer and even sent me a list of other stuff he had in case I wanted to expand. Then nothing. No response. It's been almost a week now. Thought I was dealing with a stand up guy. He had 29 positive reviews. Super bummed because I had to turn down another offer.

It's even worse when you've talked to the person a couple times, already pretty much agreed on the trade and even been asked for location.... and then you never hear from them again... haha... you just know they got a better offer last minute. Which hey... that's fine... just send a brotha a message man...

I've recently run into this same problem (fortunately never happened before), but with two separate [brand new] traders in the past couple of days.

The one which is most offensive to me: person says they are interested in trading three for three specific beers...then after I respond with the fact that I will go get the beers for the trade, he says he "gonna have to put this trade on hold for the time being. Ill let you know if things change". Is this an offense worthy of a report?

I always feel like this bothers me more than it should but I assume it's because communication is such an important part of my job. I need to remember sometimes that not everyone thinks and acts just like I do

Seems easy enough though... I posted an ISO last week on the forum and within a few hours received a handful of responses. It was pretty easy to work through logistics with the first person who replied and send a quick note to the rest saying someone else replied before them and I'd reach back out within a few days if something falls through. Hell, I cut and pasted that response so it literally took me all of 3 minutes. I'd much rather over communicate though than leave someone hanging.

    Cheers!
