    Excited for this to make it to CO so I can finally open my vertical starting with 2012 (only missing OG Abacus from 2011).

    You Californians..."stocking up"...hilarious! In the Chicago area we're happy to get just one Firestone Walker on their release since most stores get 6 bottles, maybe 12.

    I've never had this beer, I'll have to keep my eye out! Velvet Merkin is the only FW boxed beer I've had. Hoping I'll see this one.

    Vintage simply means the year in which something was produced, it does not imply age per se.

    haha yeah, we're kinda lucky with the FW vintages, although i should've said, "will try to stock up for sure." still takes some work but hoping to get my hands on a few at least!

    I'm looking forward to this but last year I only scored one bottle. It's tough in New Jersey; most bottle shops only get a case or so. I've never seen it on the shelves. My guys will save one for me. The only question is whether to drink it right away or wait for a special occasion.

    Gettin two of these fasho. We are lucky in CA, FW boxes are on shelves, as long as you know when it hits your market ya just walk in and grab em.

    This is just such a well balanced barleywine. No distribution my way and it hurts me. This and Mother of all Storms are must haves.

    I've seen both Parabola and Sucaba at Bottle Bar East / Foodery / Beer Heaven in previous years. With the amount of money you pay to ship these bottles out for trades plus extras or whatnot, you'll probably end up paying the same amount of money as you would trading for them despite the markup...

    I wish I knew for sure, but we usually get FW pretty damn quick after release so I'd expect this to be here around the end of the month or early Feb.
