Hi-Res 2016 - distribution details, updates, changes & video

    Hi crew,

    Many of you have asked about the details surrounding the 2016 Hi-Res release. A thread was started in the Beer Talk forum, but really this is probably the more appropriate place.

    We worked hard to make Hi-Res even better this year, including procuring better hops and using a juicier blend, improving the color/appearance of the beer, and changing the packaging to integrate well with the video narrative we've released. We hope you enjoy all of the related improvements.

    As of this week, Hi-Res is starting to make its first wave of distribution, with all draft going out to wholesalers and the first wave of cans. The second wave of cans will be hitting various markets over the next few weeks. After that, its gone!

    Let us know what YOU think. Internally, we found it to be less piney and more fruit-forward this year.

    I truly miss this beer but will not be back in Philly in time for this...Hopefully I will be able to enjoy some again! (So many great memories with this beer!)

    @Sixpoint I have to agree with you. It was juicy and fruit forward, with less pine then I recall. Still has the same amazing piney aftertaste though !!

    Maybe because it is made in Tennessee, not NY....have not seen it yet in Ohio either

    @AnthonyRicciardi yeah, keep in mind it is usually up to the wholesaler to determine when they release it to ALL of their customers....even if we ship the beer to wholesalers on the same date
