Holy. Shit. These guys came out firing on all cylinders. They're still figuring out their system, and they've already put out some of the best IPAs and Berliner Weisse I've had in a while.

Bonus pic of their Vermont style IPA in front of one of the small clay amphora.

I've never seen a brewery website so riddled with walescene buzzwords. Christ.

Yes. Also, the Merry Dankness through a Randall of mosaic hops was tasty too.

Man, my friend and I skipped over visiting them in favor of Labrewatory, not that I regret the Labrewatory (solid beer, cool bar), but now I wish I had given them more attention. I saw the that they weren't brewing on their own system yet and shrugged them off.

Went this afternoon; great spot, pretty good food, delicious beer. Unfortunately Double Stack and Juice Box aren't around yet, but Juice Jr. and Ripe IPA are standouts for sure. Both are super hazy, fruity, NE-style IPAs with a ton of that pineapple/mango/tropical fruit citrus going on and minimal bitterness.

Merry Dankness is their double IPA ran through fresh mosaic hops off the tap. Gives it an incredibly "dank" and sticky smell, borderline skunky. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but as it warms the skunk mellows and the beer really shines. I recommend letting it sit for a bit after ordering.

    Excited to see them grow.

Visited last night. Had Ripe & Merry Dankster. Very solid beers. Extremely low bitterness in both. I guess this NEIPA thing is something we're going to have to get used to. I suppose I can do that.

As far as aesthetics, the place is exactly the same as the Mash Tun was, so don't expect anything fancy. Didn't try the food.

I also found the beers to be surprisingly low in bitterness. At first it kind of threw me off and I was critical of it. But as my tastebuds got accustomed to it I started to really enjoy the hop aromas and flavors rather than worry about bitterness level.

Also, their Berlinerweiss was amazing. I haven't been that impressed with a sour from a new brewery since probably De Garde.

Definitely visit when you get a chance; these guys are serious business.

The lack of a dry finish on a lot of NE/NE Inspired stuff puts me off. You didn't find that with the hoppy offerings at this place?

I tried Best Laid Plans from Urban Family recently and as much as I wanted to like it, the finish just ruined it for me.

FWIW, I thought the Merry dankster had a pretty clean finish, but the others didn't.

I stopped by this afternoon. The Zest Berliner Weisse was nicely tart and mildly funky. The Ripe IPA was every bit as cloudy as the Zest, with a great citrusy nose and a flavor like straight up grapefruit juice with a little pineapple around the edges. Bitterness was a bit too low for my tastes. I guess that's one of the hallmarks of the "NE IPA" style, but I prefer my IPAs with more of a bite to them.
