This is a beer I received from a very good friend @Mipper during our stout BIF Over a year ago. True beer advocate and this beer has held up!

Why on God's green Earth??? I lived in Germany for three years & was never tempted by that evilness! At least the Calzone looks good

Simply because that's all my pizza shop had to offer or else Heineken. I know how terrible that beer is but I couldn't be bothered to go out on a cold and rainy morning, the Calzone was alright indeed.

Think I am slowly weaning myself from sleep. Up since two this morning; watched The Martian and the beginning of the new Bond flick. Both are rather lengthy movies, hence the multiple beers. Cheers.

    Vacation week!
Mrs Wiens and I are flying into Tampa today (non-stop, so we'll avoid the mess along the East Coast), and I have a 9 am tee time tomorrow. I hope you Floridians have some nice warm weather for us.

Fizzy yellow lager to start this "beautiful" Saturday. And by beautiful, I mean a high barely into the 20's with 10-20 mph winds to make the real feel stay in the single digits (it's 16 right now with a real feel of 3). Yeah, it's an inside day today.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday!

My go-to English styled Porter. Big robust and complex flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, light coffee, caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, and light nuttiness; with restrained plum/apple English yeast fruitiness and light-moderate herbal hops. Balanced herbal/roast bitter finish with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel. An all around incredible beer every single time.

Great IPA. Flavors of big peach, mango, pineapple, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, and light peppery hops; with moderate malts of caramel/toasted bread and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate piney/spicy/citrus rind bitterness; moderately dry with a sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a bit of balancing creaminess as well. Really glad I ended up getting a 6 pack of this. I still prefer Centennial as my Founders go-to IPA, but this is really delicious too. I find the malt character of both to be pretty similar, but this one feels more resinous on the hops overall, so there is quite a bit of increasing dryness from that character.

Wow, I haven’t had this in years, but it is just as amazing as I remember. Flavors of enormous dark roasted coffee; with milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/piney hops. Bitter coffee/char and piney hop finish; with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel. Feels more bitter than I remember, but the mouthfeel is still great and the flavor profile is still amazing.

This is a delicious dubbel! Glad I grabbed another bottle, I first reviewed this one about 2 years ago. Big flavors of raisin, plum, blackberry, prune, fig, pear, clove, and peppercorn yeast notes; with balanced dark candi sugar, toasted brown bread, biscuit, and nutty malt flavors; with a bit of herbal hops. Spicy and light-moderate dry finish. Light biscuity creaminess in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable for near 8%. I would definitely have this again, especially if they did 4 packs with it. Seems to share a lot of similarities to QUAD in the flavor profile, I love it.

    Cheers!

Can't wait for this album, next Friday. I am fully confident it will be a 2+ hour album after seeing the track listing.

Haken keeps teasing on their new album, should be this Fall probably. Will definitely be a top 5 album of the year too.

Fuckloads of snow expected today which means multiple shoveling expeditions. Gotta start the internal fire with a true classic. Real coffee be damned. Have a great day my friends. Cheers.

Watching the snow pile up. This is an English Pale Mild Ale. 4.1% ABV. I have to stay lucid enough to shovel later today. Cheerio and stay safe, everyone!
