Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Fantastic gose as always. Flavors of huge sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, green apple, coriander, sea salt, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, and light vinegar/funk. Big acidic/saline finish with a fair amount wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. This stuff is definitely on the high acidic side of the gose spectrum, but it still very smooth despite stronger acidity. A touch higher in ABV than others in the style, very intensely flavorful with some unique complexities. This is spontaneously fermented, unlike it’s kettle soured brethren.


Cruising my way through this last 4 pack, got a couple left. Still tasting fantastic. Bright and dank hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with some light caramel/bready malt balance and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Aggressive pine/citrus rind bitter, dry, and sticky/resinous finish.


Last of my Xocoveza, absolutely incredible. Big flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, chile pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread; with herbal/spice earthiness. Balanced bittersweet roasted and cinnamon/pepper spiced finish; with a creamy/silky medium-full body. Very smooth sipping with minimal warming pepper heat. Incredibly well balanced between the malt and spice flavors. Wish I would have grabbed more than I did when I had the chance, doubt any is left on the shelf now.


Incredible stuff, this is my last one unfortunately. Flavors of huge dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, toffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, bourbon, oak, and light dark fruit. Light roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with a really great balance of the coffee/cocoa, malt, and barrel flavors; along with roasted coffee bitterness/sweetness after the finish. Medium-full bodied with an awesome creamy/silky mouthfeel. I think they should make this year round; seems to share some reminiscence of KBS in the flavor profile. Vanilla Chai is coming around soon though, so looking forward to seeing how that stacks up. Will definitely be getting much more of this variant later this year.

Good morning BAs! Another beautiful gray day here in Sunny NW PA - yesterday because the weather was so nice we went to Erie for dinner, as did apparently everyone else in NW PA. Traffic looked like Xmas season, restaurants were packed with mostly an hour wait, no parking places in their lots. We finally settled on Max and Erma's - got right in. I wasn't really looking for a burger but we were done eating before we would have gotten served elsewhere. Anyway, new breakfast beer:
