Also, based on the various posts above, this beer doesn't sound that hard to get. There is no reason that he should not get you what he owes you.

Is there a new trade in the system? Gotta be honest, if he won't accept a new trade and take the feedback then this feels like another punt... He needs to be putting stuff in the box to make up for the partial 6-pack too...

 

imho he should have to:

Accept a new trade request
Send out EXACTLY what he owes based on original trade
Come here and post an explantion

Short of that he should lose his "trader" status at a minimum.

All these hits to his trade rep just to try to short someone a frequently brewed local sixer....wtf

 

@Somel3uddy Please send @AW311 another trade request. In the future, if there are *issues* with a trade not being completed, please make sure to put some kind of feedback before it *expires* in (60) days. You can always go back and edit it accordingly. I'm sure you are aware of that now

@AW311 if you choose NOT to come in here and offer some sort of explanation/apology to your trade partner and the community (even though you copped out and finally sent him a BM after months of not fulfilling your end and after a *Bad Trader* thread was started) and if you don't accept his *trade request*....

Rest assured the title of this thread WILL NOT be edited and BA's can read all the information including the *conversations* to make their own judgements. It will be left as a *Bad Trader*. People doing their homework will only have to go to the *Bad Trader* forum and insert your name for this thread to pop-up. Not that it's going away anyways, but you have the option of *redeeming* yourself.

Options are there for you, please choose wisely.

Is he just going to send whatever Trop he has left from September? Because that doesn't seem any better than sending nothing at all.

 

He was offering Creature Comforts up on Dec 30th, so who knows.. I would hope he respond here, I have a feeling I'll be banning his account if nothing gets fixed, and we'll log his IP address for being a theif.

 

@Somel3uddy did you send @AW311 a new trade request? He now has a new pending trade request in addition to his open trade. Adam, you need to man-up and explain yourself on this thread before you are banned and permanently branded as a thief, which would be totally justified. Act now before this all comes crashing down on you. Pretty ridiculous of you to let this drag on.

Hard to believe that in all those months he never had the 2 - 2.5 hours to make the round trip to Athens to grab you that 6-pack. Hell, he probably wasted more time driving around ATL looking for it and getting on lists (assuming its true). Badtrip it came down to this, OP. Hope you can get your Tropicalia soon.

 

@Somel3uddy why won't he be able to come through with the whole 6 pack which you'd originally agreed to? It's some bogus bs if he doesn't come through with those beers after taking so long. IF, for some reason, he truly can't, then he needs to come up with what you consider acceptable substitutions. He should also add heavily for the ongoing aggravation & crap he's put you through.

As others have stated, it's mind boggling that he'd trash his reputation over this.

 

Not even necessary for him to drive that far. There is a shop (at least one) not 10 miles from Canton that gets Tropicalia on a weekly or semi weekly basis. Plenty of time to fulfill the request. As @FATC1TY mentioned it's sometimes challenging, but not impossible, if one gives just a tiny bit of effort.

 

Thanks for everyone's reply to this. I have completed plenty of trades on this and other forums without issue. This trade did get out of hand, and I have had an issue of tracking down a sixer of Trop. My normal shop in the area now sales it by the can at 2 per car.

However I have been in discussion with the OP about getting this resolved and I have never cut off communication. I even offered to send back a portion of the box he sent me in good faith. Thanks to everyone for your comments.
