Sometimes if I'm drinking a bomber or 750 I like to swap out glassware between pours to see if I pick up any different notes.

Does anyone else do this? How do you find it impacts flavor/aroma and are there any particular styles where you see a major difference? Also, what types of glassware do you like to alternate?

I'll switch between beers in a four or six pack. The teku looks the dorkiest, but definitely makes the aroma pop the most. More so than tulip, snifter and others.

I tend to drink a few different styles in an evening and will often swap between glasses depending on what I'm drinking. I will usually have something like an IPA, a sour, and a stout or barleywine, and swap between a tulip, teku, or maybe a willibecker style pint glass.

No, whatever glass I start drinking out of first will be the glass I use the rest of the evening. No need for me to dirty up more glasses and make me run the dishwasher that much more often.

I'll rinse. I'll only switch glassware if I'm having an unplanned multi-beer evening. If I know I'm gonna have a few, I'll start with the Riedel stemless wine glasses, which work for most of the styles I drink.

I find that change in the temp of the beer from one pour to the next or some sediment in the second pour are more likely to have an effect on flavors than changing the glass between pours.

I used to switch between certain styles but lately almost everything goes into my Fort George nonic or Cascade nonic.

Only if I'm switching styles or have left the house between them.

I find that a switch in style of beer may cause a glass change. Usually my beautiful little woman is hot on the trail of the glasses and we also have enough of the different glass styles that we usually have a fresh rotation good to go!

If I want to get the most out of the aroma and the best overall taste, it's just a Teku for everything.

Everyone should experiment with different glasses. It does make a difference. I discovered this while drinking a Brooklyn Blast when using a Boulevard Belgian glass and my girlfriend was drinking out of a Tulip. She disagreed with how I was describing how it tasted (thought it was quite malty). Out of curiosity I sniffed out of her glass and it noticeably smelt different. She agreed that both of ours smelt different as well. They also tasted different. I perceived a far lower maltiness drinking out of the tulip. If after experimenting with different glasses you find the difference isn't worth it, that's fine, but there is a difference.

To directly address the question though, aside from a few mostly accidental experiments, I don't switch glasses typically while drinking the same beer, but will switch between beers of different styles almost always because, as stated above, I have noticed the glass used makes a significant difference in smell and taste.

I usually switch glasses every beer. I can never get the same level of carbonation from a reused glass as a clean, fresh glass

I switch glassware between every different beer. I have too much glassware, it needs to get used. I have never switched between a bomber though. Thanks for posting though OP, I have a new experiment

I try not to switch too much, too many dirty dishes and not enough fucks to give to do them

Generally I will just use some spring water and vigorously rinse out the glass with that. Tap water is too loaded with minerals and chlorine based chemicals, so I try to avoid it.

Not a bad idea but I tend to wander back to the standard pint glass. Call me white bread but that's what I like.
