And someone has already posted their bottles on the trade forum. I shouldn't be surprised anymore.

given the shenanigans that went on with the StS trades, I don't doubt it.

Gonna be nice to see a bunch of posts go up and then get marked closed for the sake of hype.

trading a 1 bottle limit beer to anyone that isn't a friend is ridiculous

A 1 bottle limit beer that they probably haven't even tasted yet.

Anybody who got a tour ticket today will presumably have a chance to taste the beer at the event, since both curious 2 & 3 will be on tap.

To be fair, they have been poured at a handful of events. I've had #3 and it was fantastic. And no, I'm not trading my bottle.

What's CCBC's policy on bringing bottles to share?

No bottle shares. Athens Clarke county has a no open container policy. You'd have to bottle share in a car, hotel, or restaurant that allows bottles to be popped.

Is anyone here planning on leaving Athens to head over to the bottle share at Cherry Street Brewing?

I can't make it but you should. Those guys are cool and will have some good bottles. Plus cherry street alone will have awesome brews on tap, they kill it. I'm jealous, but my belly will already be full of creature comforts goodness and hopefully a little Italy Italian sub!

A well run small release by the CCBC crew. Per the head brewer, Curious 9 is a keg they "found in storage" that was just labeled "Stout." They weren't sure what it was so they tried it and found it was one of the See the Stars experiments. StS base in an "American Scotch" barrel was the description given. Not sure they'll be able to make more, but it was phenomenal.

First of all this was a great event ran by Creature Comforts. All of the beers being poured yesterday were very good. The curious 9 was by far my favorite (mixed it with koko buni as well and it was so good). I really enjoyed no 3, I felt it was the best of the two and cannot wait for it to eventually be released again

Definitely a great event. I know it sucks that events like this inherently will exclude a lot of interested people because of the limited number of tickets, but if you wind up being able to go to one it is refreshing from other beer events. I feel too many beer events these days are about waiting in line most of the time or trying to get to something before it runs out. This was way casual and you got to hear from the brewers themselves about the beers and the series.

I'm all for more places doing events like this in the future.

Having no real lines for beer and 14 tasting tickets, couldn't have been run better! Thanks CCBC
Also, ISO: Gdawgs 34 blend (damnit why didn't we think of doing that!)

Yeah, this was a pretty incredible event. The beers were ridiculously good. Hearing how them talk about how they came up with Curious 2 and 3 was pretty entertaining as well.

I am not a brewer but just to add some background on what I heard at the event about Curious 3 in particular. They used the wort from a batch of reclaimed rye, threw their house yeast strain in there, added some fruit, put it in a barrel and voila! lightning in a bottle. The stuff is stupid good.

Chill vibe all day. Piggy backing off of VinceMig's comments, no worries about not getting a pour of beer X or whale Y was really nice.
