    Hey BAs!

Wanted to post something fun for us all to speculate/chat about. Got the idea from those "way too early NFL Draft predictions" articles that get posted online.

I know we are about 10 months out, but I wanted to see what you all might think the 2016 Bourbon County variant(s) will be or what you would like them to be.

I personally would love something really berry-forward like Backyard Rye(since I missed that release) or even something like a Maple-variant would be awesome!

Let us know what you think/want, cheers!

Maybe they will purposefully release a Bourbon County Contaminated Brand Stout for 2016!?!

    Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.:flushed:

    Cheers!

They could just relable this years coffee, and call it a BCBS sour.

Other than that I think King Henry and a Maple would be the popular choices.

Maple is all but confirmed. King Henry would be a good bet at this point.

At the Rare Day event, it was widely talked about that it would be a 2016 release. And we all were able to actually see the barrels labeled BCBS Maple in the barrel warehouse. Could be wrong.

Lets face it....a King henry type beer (maybe with a different name) is probably going to happen....as far as maple who knows, prop this year was kind of maple. They could use those other barrels as part of a blend OR use them as beers for festivals. I would like to see a coffee maple bourbon county brand stout. Either way we won't know for another 6 months

I keep seeing King Henry, I am what some would call new to the craft-beer game. Could someone explain what that is?

"Aged in Pappy Van Winkle 23 bourbon barrels, previously used to age Rare Bourbon County Brand Stout. King Henry is a burgundy hued English-style barleywine with aromas of vanilla, oak, and dark fruit. Caramel and toffee flavors blend together with bold notes of bourbon delivered in a smooth body followed by a malty finish. No matter the occasion, King Henry promises a regal drinking experience."

They put a barleywine in the barrels that previously held rare 2010 and called it king henry
I have heard they are doing the same thing with the 2015 rare barrels (although it might have a different name)

I know everybody is hoping for maple, but wasn't Prop 15' maple? No matter what the variant(s) are I'm sure they'll be good

If I am not mistaken there were pictures at the brewery of some barrels labeled Maple. Though it could be for something else.
