Where did they say they were having an event besides a can release?

on their instagram? "on saturday january 30th we are celebrating our second anniversary". i think that qualifies. but yeah, presumption advocate or something. have you never been to an anniversary event for a brewery or something?

 

Ahah, yeah I went to their party last year, felt decidedly different than a can release event

 

Last year's anniversary was a good time, yeah it was crowded, but this was before can releases so it was a different animal. Would have loved it if OH did a tapping/anniversary event on Friday night before all the neckbeards on the East Coast come through on Saturday morning for dem IPA whalezbro. Maybe they'll tap 2nd Anni on Friday night...

 

In all fairness, that declaration of "celebrating second anniversary" doesn't scream out party. Also, although I believe last year was a "party", other than the fact they released an anniversary beer and the place was slammed, just felt like a regular day at OH, not a party.

If standing for hours in line with a buncha cranky jersey dudes btw a mcdonalds and some dumpsters Saturday at 7am is a party, its gonna be a helluva party.

Agree, had one two nights ago and it was off the charts. Wish I had more

I wouldn't doubt it at all.

 

If it's not a joke then they are really stupid and/or just like to wait for the sake of waiting. Especially given that last release Oat Overdose lasted into Sunday.

 

What do people think the crowd will be like at opening tomorrow? As bad as Oat Overdose?

 

I think so yes. The line was long for Oat Overdose but it wasn't really bad at all and the beer lasted until the next day so there was really no point in waiting in line at all.

 

The fact that people are liking this makes me feel like I'm completely out of touch and this must be some new meme I don't know about, because every time i come across this I'm like, What the actual fuck?

 

Word of caution though: limits are 3 4-packs of 2nd Anniversary compared with only 2 of Oat Overdose. Assuming they make the same quantity, that means 2nd Anniversary won't last nearly as long.

 

Not to stir up any chaos but I'd be shocked if the anny brew makes it past Saturday.

 

For those who have been to the past few busier releases, if I were to show up at approx. 9AM, when could I expect to be out of there?
