KBS Bottle Release

Nice sleuthing! I'm kind of surprised Founders hasn't announced anything yet. Now if we can only reserve the beautiful weather we had last year on Friday of the release to go with our ticket?

 

Thank you. It is always good to know as far ahead of time as possible. I will second the wish for the beautiful weather from last year along with the lack of lines, the availability of tables in the taproom, and the CBS, although I realize I'm probably just dreaming.

 

Can't wait. I don't want to run around like a chicken with my head cut off for a single bottle. Road trip.

Wow that went down fast! If I recall correctly, the dates are March 8 - 12. Tickets give you the ability to purchase three four-packs at $20 per. Limit one ticket per name for the entire week. Can't recall the times for sales.

KBS: What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.


We will be selling this product in our taproom using a controlled five-day, pre-ticketed release, similar to previous releases. Tickets go on-sale Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11am EST.

*Keep in mind, tickets for this event are in very high demand, and we expect tickets to sell out quickly.

Each ticket reserves the right to purchase up to THREE 4-packs of KBS (max of 12 bottles total), at $20 per 4-pack (tax and deposit are included), ONLY on the date specified on your ticket, and ONLY by the person listed on the ticket. All reserved KBS 4-packs are to be picked up at the brewery in Grand Rapids, MI during pick-up hours (Noon-9pm EST).

You may buy ONE ticket for ONE of the following days:

By purchasing this ticket, you are securing your rights to purchase up to (3) 4-packs (12 bottles) of KBS, ONLY on the specific date listed on your ticket. All ticket holders for any given date are required to make their purchase only ON THE DATE listed on their ticket, IN PERSON, or will forfeit the opportunity. Refunds will not be issued for unused or lost tickets.

Any allotted bottles that are not purchased on their given date will be added to the reserve inventory, which will be released at a future unannounced date in our taproom.

All ticket holders are required to have their ticket, as well as a valid ID, as recognized by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and will be required to pay for (via cash or credit card) and pick-up their product, both in person, on that given day.

Due to overwhelming feedback regarding the ability to reduce scalping, we have returned to the "Name Specific" tickets. Each ticket is assigned to the purchaser and CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are not sure if you are able to complete your purchase on the date specified on your ticket, do not purchase a ticket.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be contributed to the Grand Rapids White Water initiative.

I believe they dropped it to two 4 packs per person last year.

 

They dropped it to two four packs a couple years ago, and put it back to three four packs last year.

 

Yeah that's what I remember. I think it said 2 when I bought the ticket then they raised it to 3 before pick-up.

 

last year you could buy three. i think there was a mix up in the tickets that said two, but they quickly updated everyone that 3 4 packs could be purchased.

 

Ah...thanks for the clarification. I didn't go, but vaguely remembered only 2.

 

I think I may have to make the drive up this year to avoid the hassle of chasing down bottles here.

The event page with all the info listed above did exist late last night. I'm guessing someone posted it by mistake and it was pulled down until Founders makes an official KBS Week announcement.
