    I got myself three beers today, I'll start with a Guiness Foreign Extra Stout. First time I'm having it I think.

    Good morning BA, have a great Saturday!

    Delicious Irish red as always. Big robust flavors of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted biscuit, and light nutty malts; with some light plum/apple yeast and herbal/peppery hops. Light balanced earthy bitterness; smooth finish with a medium bodied creamy/bready mouthfeel and slight touch of hop stickiness. A spot on and very flavorful example of the style. I get a pack every year. Very easy drinking.

    This is such an awesome IPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, lime, melon, green pepper, citrus rind, and pine hops; with some light honey/bready malt balance and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness; with a nice dry and sticky/resinous finish with a touch of malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. I love this stuff, it really showcases a lot of nice characteristics of Equinox hops in the flavor profile along with the citrus/rind/piney notes of the other C hops that are there.We finally got 6 packs to Oakland county this week, along with Obsidian; so I finally don’t need to hunt single shelves for it anymore (only came in the variety pack).

    Excellent stuff again this year. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with moderate chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, caramel malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind and roasty bitterness; with a sticky/resinous finish with moderate balancing creaminess in the mouthfeel. This is a really aggressive Black IPA for sure. Chinook and Centennial hops bring on the resins, has nice malty presence on the backbone, while still letting the hops be the main focus. Wouldn’t mind grabbing some more of this; even after 4 months since bottling, this still tastes really great and really hoppy.

    Wow this is tasting awesome! This is the same batch from 1-2 years ago, when MI first got it as far as I know. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toast, vanilla, and cream; with some nutty almond and sweet dark bready doughnut flavors. Bittersweet balanced creamy/silky full bodied finish. Extremely smooth sipping with minimal ABV warmth. This is basically just Biscotti break with doughnuts added. While I still love IBB more, this is still completely awesome and I would totally drink it again. Even after 1-2 years there is still tons of coffee in the flavors; doughnuts add a bit of sweeter bready note, but it’s still very similar to the base beer. I think age made it more impressive to me vs my original rating 2 years ago.

    Tallgrass Top Rope IPA in a Tallgrass tumbler which I call improper-proper glassware. Maybe it will catch on.

    I feel your pain! I'm still in Photobucket hell myself. I tinkered with a couple of other sites, but I'm struggling with the learning curve. Old habits are tough to break, I need a beer!

    Morning, BA's....happy last Saturday in January!

    Hard to imagine Monday will be February already.....

    Already been outside for a neighborhood walk, and some sunrise pics over the frozen lake.....supposed to be 47 and sunny today, so think I may play a round of disc golf and perhaps make a run up to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (about 20 minutes north of me)....

    I had inadvertently cellared a few bottles from last year. Have you ever had any of these aged? I wonder if I should consume or hold. I'm guessing that the coffee flavor must get dulled out with age. Would love any input from BAs.

    [​IMG] :slight_frown: Last one of these until October. Sierra you should really consider making this a 6 pack or even better a 12. I had to buy 4 12 packs, just to get 3 of this one beer. I am not alone on loving this one, but feeling like that snow pack was o.k at best. Please listen to us, year round six packs!
