no Adventure Pack, no Enjoy By Unfiltered, no AV Briney Melon Gose, no Gose Gone Wild... this is madness I tell ya. Must have been all the snow that has the trucks delayed. Yeah, ill keep telling myself that.

Lighthouse Liquors and Total Wine have had the unfiltered. It is phenomenal. I forgot about GGW, and in Strumpke's own backyard no less. However, I'd heard it was supposed to be here during the first 2 weeks of February.

I'd never heard of the AV Briney Melon Gose, but now I will be on the lookout. We did get the DB Cran Gose though.

I just had my OTWOA from 1/23 that I got last night and was quite underwhelmed. I was expecting a lot more with being under a week old. Maybe it just hadn't opened up, but it was just this bland bitterness. It was good but had no dimension to it. Especially after having had that Unfiltered Enjoy By (a few days ago), it paled in comparison.

Nick was part of the reason arrowine earned my business. This current lack of info and transparency are why they are losing my business.

Pinehurst had bottles of Gose Gone Wild as of Thursday. Cans of OTWOA as well, DOB 12/30/15.

Couldn't agree more. Nick was personable and didnt bs you on beers. The guys at Dominion echo this sentiment. The Abyss Variants is a great example - the gent behind the counter said he was going to get as many as possible and limit it to one pp so more folks could get to try it. He stated that it would go on twitter when it arrived (like every other delivery) - caveat being that you had to keep an eye on twitter. The guy is pretty transparent - he wants the business and wants people to enjoy the beer.

That Briney Melon Gose is fantastic. Had I known it to be so, I would have grabbed many more while I was still seeing them around.

A little further for me, but I'm going to see if I can make it to them from now on and blitz right past arrowine.

I just looked at arrowine's Twitter and they posted the abyss when it arrived. What the F? I spoke to their beer guy at noon and he's the one who told me the pre-sale abyss bull. Im done with these guys.

The guys at Dominion are awesome. Their selection is great and they are extremely transparent. I used to drive by there after work and would stop by a couple of times a week, but my location changed recently. Still, they recognize me and really look to take care of me despite the fact I don't stop by very frequently. Anyway, great guys, great selection and great customer service.

Just wanted to throw out a quick reminder that you're talking about buying beer here. Up your game? The fact that beer buying has come to this is to me a hopeful sign that the ticking craze is peaking and will soon come crashing down.

This area (DC/NOVA) is out of control when it comes to this. I suppose it may have something to do with the high concentration of competitive, highly driven people around here, but seriously, we're talking about buying beer at stores. Up your game? Yeesh...

You approach things as you see fit to acquire the harder to get items, I'll approach it the way that has helped me acquire beers. Tipping people out is not an uncommon practice in retail. Don't see it slowing down at all, it's only building IMO, and more people are chasing trucks and standing in line.

Nope, not me, I've hooked the guys at TW for giving me a heads up on when a delivery was going to be made. I've never asked anyone at TW to hold anything for me, store is too big and I've got a better personal relationship with my local stores that I spend a lot of money in.

I got an Agrestic as an extra in a trade...because extras in boxes O beers to trading partners keep them happy and more likely to send you items from around the country you're seeking down the road.

Due to MoCo's distribution and prices, I never buy beer in Maryland. I only buy in DC or NoVA, which seems common among people in the area. Therefore, I think that limits the insight into MD releases.

The price for OTWOA is the same at the brewery.

There's a mountain of bourbon sidamo at Fair Lakes Wegmans. 13$ per! It's very tasty this year.

Same is true for the Alexandria Wegmans - I counted 5 cases in the beer area alone.

They also had Stone Drink By 2.15.16 Black IPA (no Unfiltered, unfortunately), and Alesmith Speedway Stout - which I didn't remember seeing there before.

I drank a can a week from the last batch (12/30 I think). Didn't love it under a week old but it tasted great after 2-3 weeks. IMO a lot of imperial and double IPAs are better a week or two after being canned/bottled.
